    Charming Stay at The Winchester

    We visited The Winchester Little England on the 15th with family, and it was a genuinely enjoyable stay. The property exudes tranquility and is beautifully designed, capturing the essence of the English countryside right in Nuwara Eliya. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our rooms were immaculate, cozy, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delightful. I highly recommend this spot for anyone seeking a relaxing and well-managed retreat in a beautiful location.

    Wonderful stay in a charming neighborhood

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. The area really lives up to its "Little England" title—very classy and serene. Both breakfast and dinner were tasty, offering a nice variety and generous portions. There was even a lovely restaurant just around the corner, ideal for an evening drink. The highlight of our trip was the tuk-tuk tour they organized for us around Nuwara Eliya—we explored tea plantations and waterfalls, and it was absolutely delightful. I would definitely recommend staying here. It was truly one of our top experiences in Sri Lanka, and we only wish we had more time to savor it!

    Comfortable stay with friendly staff

    The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was spacious and spotless, and the bed was quite comfortable. While there isn’t much nearby, there is a nice pub and restaurant right across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

    Charming hotel with excellent service

    This hotel is one of our favorite places in Sri Lanka. Located in Little England, a gated community, it features a lovely atmosphere and staff who are exceptionally friendly and attentive, exceeding our expectations. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the food is simply outstanding. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, and both meals were fantastic. Although the menu is limited, every dish is top quality. Highly recommended!

    Lovely Stay with Warm Hospitality

    This review comes a bit late—I visited Winchester Bungalow at Little England Cottage in March 2025. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere exuded a genuine English vibe. We had booked the bungalow for just the two of us after our wedding, but our parents came along to drop us off. Despite not being guests, the staff greeted us all with warmth, respectful service, and authentic smiles. The room was breathtaking—crafted with classic English-style architecture, it was calm, luxurious, and incredibly comfortable. Since I mentioned we were coming after our wedding, they had thoughtfully decorated the bed for us. It was a delightful surprise since I hadn’t requested anything. I’m not sure who did the decoration, but it was done perfectly. The room was well-equipped, and the staff member who showed us around clearly explained all the facilities. The washroom was modern, clean, and luxurious, with hot water functioning perfectly. We had no complaints at all. We also strolled around the Little England Cottage area, which felt authentically English—so beautiful, tranquil, and refreshing, like a treat for the eyes. The colors, temperature, and climate were all enchanting. We opted for a half-board stay, and dinner was served in the true English style with a generous array of delicious dishes. The dining area had a lovely heater, and we enjoyed sitting by it—it created a cozy, peaceful atmosphere. I had never encountered a heater like that before. At midnight, the temperature dropped to about 8°C, enhancing the England-like experience. Thanks to the heater in our room, we stayed warm and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive—very English-inspired, tasty, and abundant. From fruits to various other items, everything was satisfying. I could elaborate more, but this review is getting lengthy. In short, I have no complaints and feel completely satisfied. I genuinely hope to return to this place. I sincerely appreciate the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and humanity. To the owner: please continue caring for your staff—they are outstanding. Lastly, thank you for making our special day even more memorable and joyful.

    Exceptional Stay with Amazing Staff

    We spent two nights here, and the staff truly made our experience remarkable! The chef is fantastic, and the food is of restaurant-quality—definitely next level! Although we tried food from the nearby Pedro restaurant, I can confidently say that the meals at Winchester Cottage are significantly better and more delicious! Our room and bathroom were cleaned regularly during our stay, which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend this place to both Sri Lankans and international visitors alike; you'll enjoy genuine Sri Lankan hospitality throughout. And once again, the staff is simply AMAZING! ♥️♥️♥️ Staff: 100000/10!!!! Cleanliness of the rooms: 8/10—slightly damp, likely due to the weather, and they could benefit from adding more carpets (like outside the bathroom, near the sink, and on both sides of the bed). Food: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10! It’s quiet, serene, and peaceful. Safety: 10/10—security is available 24/7!
