Exceptional Service from Oniza and Team

What an incredible experience for my friends, who were filled with joy throughout our time there. All the credit goes to Oniza, who organized everything just as I had asked, turning it into a surprising gift for my beloved friends. From beginning to end, Oniza took care of every detail with such professionalism and care, particularly the stunning decorations that added a special touch to the occasion. The team's genuine hospitality and attention to detail were truly impressive. They made sure that my friends felt comfortable and that every moment of their stay was unforgettable. Scenic Stay with Room for Improvement

Our one-night stay at Forest and Lake was truly memorable, particularly in the ASH room, which I chose for its stunning view – and it did not disappoint. We were on the hunt for the ideal scenic location, and this spot met all our criteria. The sunrise from the bed was breathtaking, and the morning ambiance was fantastic, with the nighttime view equally enchanting. We went with the BB package, enjoying a breakfast of traditional Sri Lankan dishes – pol rotti and string hoppers – served hot and fresh, which was perfect given the cool weather. The washroom was beautifully designed and included thoughtful touches like a hairdryer, which I found very handy. I want to extend special thanks to the manager, Sara, whose enthusiasm and dedication to customer service really stood out. The entire staff was polite and attentive, always ready to assist, whether it was during meal service or for general inquiries. However, there were some drawbacks: There was no WiFi in the rooms, despite it being advertised. The PEO TV also didn’t connect since they hadn’t paid for the service, which was disappointing. Additionally, the lunch we ordered on our arrival (fried rice and biriyani) was not fresh and felt overpriced for the quality. With no shops nearby, it’s crucial that the meals offered are of good quality and served hot, particularly in this chilly climate. Overall, the views and warm hospitality contributed to a memorable stay. With some improvements in food quality and adherence to promised amenities, this place could really shine as a top-tier getaway.

Relaxing Stay at The Forest and Lake

A couple of months ago, we spent two nights at The Forest and Lake by Schofieldshire, and it was a wonderfully peaceful experience. The hotel sits on a hill, overlooking a beautiful lake just down the road, providing stunning views and a serene atmosphere. It's worth noting that the road leading to the hotel can be tricky if you're driving a low-clearance vehicle. The hotel's secluded location makes it a perfect retreat for anyone seeking tranquility and solitude. A highlight of our visit was the few friendly cats that wandered around the property, keeping us company. The garden was another delightful aspect, well-kept with a swing chair for relaxation and a small area dedicated to growing vegetables. Regarding the meals, the portions were generous and fairly priced. Given the hotel's isolation, dining in is the most convenient choice, and thankfully, the food exceeded our expectations. In summary, The Forest and Lake by Schofieldshire is a lovely and peaceful spot, perfect for those looking to escape the chaos of everyday life.

Delightful stay with minor issues

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at this hotel, which was truly a delightful experience. The garden is well-kept and creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The view from the garden is stunning, making it an ideal place to unwind. Our room and bathroom were spotless, which contributed to the comfort of our visit. A highlight for us was the hot water jacuzzi, where we spent a fantastic and relaxing time. The food and drinks were tasty, offering a range of flavors that enhanced our dining experience. One small suggestion would be to provide a tube of toothpaste in the bathroom for extra convenience. We also noticed that the bedside lamps and heater weren't working, which could be addressed to improve the experience. All in all, our stay was great, and we genuinely appreciated the hospitality.

Great stay with friendly staff

We only spent one night here to see the Nelu Blossoms the following day. We opted for B&B, but since we didn't have time for breakfast in the morning, they kindly packed us fresh fruits and chicken sandwiches. The breakfast was freshly made, and we really enjoyed it during our trek. The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The bed was comfortable, and while the room was clean, it wasn't spotless. They even let us freshen up after our trek, even though it was past check-out time. I really appreciate their accommodating and cooperative nature.

Comfortable stay with great service

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay. The entire building and its surroundings are crafted with care, which is evident. Although we experienced some delay during check-in, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. Additionally, P. Sadurshan, the staff member who assisted us, was incredibly friendly. The service and breakfast were exceptional. If we return, we would definitely choose The Forest again!
