Poor handling and service experience

As with other courier services in Sri Lanka, this one also doesn't handle customers' items with much care. Upon receiving the packages, they inquire if there's anything fragile. However, they tend to sort through the items roughly and discard them carelessly. I chose this location because it's convenient for me in Kohuwala, but even if your goods are delivered, you shouldn't expect satisfactory service here. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.

Frustrating experience with urgent letter

I'm really frustrated. I needed to pick up an urgent letter, so I called their agent to see if I could grab it today, specifically if it would be included in that day's batch. This was around 2 pm, and they assured me it was possible, saying I could have it by 5 pm. I made it clear that I could only collect it before 5 pm since it's from an office and I wouldn't be able to get it afterward. But they still failed to send it by 5 pm. When I called after their hours, the responses were not helpful. I had told them before they finished their shift that this letter was very urgent, and if they couldn’t send it today, I needed to know so I could find another way to receive it. No luck. This seems to be how Fardar Courier Service operates, at least at the Kohuwala branch. Very disappointing 😕.

Terrible service from delivery staff

The service here is extremely poor, and the staff seems to think it's acceptable to yell at customers. I experienced this firsthand with one of their delivery drivers, Mr. Hashim Jurampathi. He arrived at my delivery location and called me at 1:40 PM. I missed the call but was informed by a colleague that a package had been delivered. At 1:41 PM, just one minute later, I stepped outside to collect it since he called again. When I got there, he started yelling at me, demanding to know why I didn't answer the phone, acting as if he had been waiting for over five minutes when it was only one. I find this kind of behavior unacceptable from any service provider. I hope they take this matter seriously. We are customers, not people their employees can scream at. Thank you.

Terrible courier experience

This is the worst courier service I've ever encountered. Save your money and don’t trust them with your shipments. My package reached the local city branch two days ago, but they refuse to deliver it. Instead, they insist that I come pick it up myself, claiming their bike riders "can't carry it." Delivery is the fundamental responsibility of a courier service. To not deliver a package due to its size—after they accepted the job—is a total breakdown in service. They are unreliable and extremely unprofessional. Steer clear of them!

Terrible courier service experience

I’ve had one of the worst experiences with this courier service. It was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Deliveries took an excessively long time, and there was a lack of proper support or accountability from them. They hardly answered calls, and even when I reached out to the main hotline, the customer service was unfriendly, unhelpful, and seemed uninterested in fixing any issues. This kind of service is unacceptable and can really harm businesses and erode customer trust. They need significant improvements in their communication, delivery processes, and accountability. From what I experienced, I absolutely cannot recommend this courier service for any business deliveries.

Avoid this service at all costs

I’m sharing this to prevent others from experiencing the nightmare I just went through. If you're thinking about using this service, please look for alternatives. It all began with a clear bait-and-switch. After I had already paid and was told my package was on its way, they suddenly added a "huge package" surcharge. It felt like they were holding my items hostage—either pay an extra fee or make the trek to their office to retrieve it myself. Things only got worse upon my arrival. When I got to their office, the story changed yet again. They claimed they couldn't deliver it due to a "weight change." I had to stand there and demonstrate that it was actually underweight according to the original packing details. Instead of owning up to their mistake, they started rambling about how "parcels" and "boxes" have different pricing structures. It was absurd and a blatant attempt to deflect blame. Good luck trying to get assistance, too. I called the head office to voice my complaint, but the line "cut out" several times. When I finally managed to get through, I had to recount the entire frustrating saga to two different representatives who clearly couldn’t care less. This isn’t just poor service; it’s a chaotic mess that feels like a scam. They will waste your time, toy with your finances, and give you the runaround instead of taking accountability. For your own peace of mind, steer clear of them.

Terrible Customer Service Experience

My experience with Farder Courier Service was incredibly disappointing. The customer service is very lacking; I couldn't get anyone to answer calls at the head office, which made it impossible to get updates or help. A courier service needs to have dependable communication, and that was completely missing here. I certainly wouldn't recommend this service to anyone based on what I went through.

Terrible Delivery Experience

Avoid this service at all costs! 🚨 Three weeks ago, I dropped off a package at the Kohuwala Fardar branch for delivery to Kalutara. They assured me it would arrive in 3–4 working days, but the package is still nowhere to be found. 😡 I have no clue about its whereabouts. When I reached out to the Kohuwala branch, they seemed clueless about the situation and provided me with two inquiry numbers—neither of which has received any response. I’m extremely disappointed. Do not trust this company for deliveries; their customer service is the worst. 😡 If any staff member sees this, please get in touch with me, as no one is picking up the phone!
