Mixed experience at Ceymed Hospital

I took my 11-year-old daughter to Ceymed Hospital in Nugegoda this evening because she had a fever all day. I want to give a shout-out to the OPD nurse who was kind, friendly, and really helpful. She made us feel welcomed and cared for during a tough time. On the other hand, our interaction with the OPD doctor was quite disappointing. The consultation felt hurried, and there was minimal engagement. Aside from mentioning that dengue was unlikely and prescribing Panadol, the doctor didn’t ask many questions about my daughter's symptoms or medical history, nor did he seem keen to understand her condition better. I realize that healthcare professionals can face a lot of pressure and everyone can have an off day. However, when dealing with a sick young child, both patients and parents expect compassion, attention, and a thorough evaluation. The doctor’s indifferent demeanor made the experience quite unpleasant. I hope this feedback can assist the hospital in enhancing their patient care.

Poor Communication and Long Wait

I had a really unsatisfactory experience at Ceymed Hospital Nugegoda. I scheduled an appointment for 11:00 AM, but the doctor didn’t show up until over an hour later. The wait was frustrating, but the lack of communication made it even worse. I didn’t get any SMS, call, or update regarding my appointment number, the doctor's arrival, or the delay. If a doctor is late, it’s up to the hospital to notify patients ahead of time so they can choose whether to wait or make other plans. Patients appreciate their time, and better communication and appointment management would significantly enhance the experience. I hope the hospital takes action to improve its customer service and keep patients informed about delays.

Unprofessional Service at Ceymed Pharmacy

My first experience at Ceymed Pharmacy was quite disappointing. I went there last Thursday around 6:45–7:00 PM and noticed a middle-aged woman in a white saree at the reception acting unprofessionally. There were loud personal discussions and inappropriate jokes echoing throughout the ground floor. Such behavior is really not appropriate for a healthcare setting. As a customer, I was hoping for a more professional environment. I trust that management will address this issue soon.

Disappointing experience at ETU

I visited the ETU and asked the woman there if she was a doctor. She didn’t confirm or deny it, but from our interaction, I could tell she wasn’t a doctor. I didn’t receive the assistance I needed. To make things worse, the nurse openly expressed her disgust over the gauze she pulled out of me. Discussing a patient's condition in front of them is inappropriate. No doctor arrived, and no nurse provided help, so I ended up leaving.

Terrible experience with unprofessional staff

The staff showed a complete lack of responsibility. We were initially told that the doctor would be coming, so we arrived and inquired about our appointment. Later, they informed us that they needed to check if the doctor was actually coming. They should have confirmed that before taking our payment. Nobody seemed to know anything about the doctor. It felt like we were at a poorly run establishment. This hospital is absolutely useless! I would advise others to steer clear.
