The place is fine for basic medication, but it falls short for severe surgical issues. My lab puppy unfortunately passed away after only receiving oral medication, and I've since learned that surgery was necessary for recovery.

This is the best animal clinic in Matara. The doctor has a wealth of experience and is likely the finest choice for your beloved pet. The staff is not only friendly but also kind and helpful. Additionally, the service is quite efficient. Besides standard clinic services, they offer a diverse selection of pet foods, accessories, and over-the-counter medications available for purchase. You can also find parking right in front of the clinic building.

Dr. Jinasi runs a veterinary clinic that offers a friendly and professional experience. The facility is clean and well-kept, featuring distinct areas for waiting, checkups, and surgeries, along with a shop. The shop stocks a diverse range of products and food for both dogs and cats. However, parking is somewhat limited.

After my cat fell seriously ill, I scheduled an appointment at the clinic and arrived on time. However, the receptionist spent a long time going over my cat's previous medications. When I inquired about the attending veterinarian, I was introduced to a different staff member. The veterinarian examined my cat and attempted to insert an IV catheter for fluid therapy. Unfortunately, this procedure seemed to lack confidence, resulting in an injury to my cat's leg with noticeable bleeding. What alarmed me the most was the apparent neglect in addressing the injury afterward. During the treatment, my cat managed to remove the IV catheter multiple times. I felt that the patient was not being monitored closely enough, which further diminished my trust in the care being provided. Consequently, I chose to stop the treatment, paid for the IV fluids, and took my cat home. As pet owners, we rely heavily on veterinary professionals during our pets' most vulnerable times. I urge others to verify that a clinic has skilled veterinarians and a compassionate, well-trained staff before seeking care there. Our pets deserve safe, attentive, and professional medical attention.
