Frustrating experience with food delivery
I had a really disappointing encounter with Quick Delivery Pvt Ltd at their Negombo branch in Sri Lanka. My parents wanted to send me some home-cooked meals, traditional fruits, and dry food to Luxembourg, and when they visited this courier service, they were misled into thinking that cooked food could be delivered safely and quickly via DHL. However, it turned out they used a different courier called DPD instead, which was completely unacceptable given the information they provided. After handing over the package, they suddenly informed us that delivery would take 10-15 days, meaning any cooked food would likely spoil. They also stated that delivery wasn't possible to Luxembourg, but only to Germany. Thankfully, Germany borders Luxembourg, so I managed to find a delivery address, but it was a huge hassle. By that point, we had no option but to go ahead since the food was already prepared. It took them 6-7 days just to provide a tracking number, and even then, the information was incorrect. They claimed the flight was on Saturday, yet the parcel was handed over on Thursday, and it actually arrived 10 days later. As expected, all the cooked food spoiled and had to be discarded. If they had been honest from the start, we would have never sent the cooked food and fruit. Their service was very unprofessional, misleading, and a total waste of money. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone, especially for international deliveries of sensitive items like food.
