I definitely should have looked up the reviews for this so-called medical laboratory before visiting for blood tests. On July 6, 2026, I went to Nawaloka Laboratory in Battaramulla for some routine blood tests, most of which I undergo every three months. There was one new test to check my iron levels, which I had never done before. I strongly believe that hospitals and medical labs should provide patients with information about blood tests, X-rays, screenings, and other procedures. However, the lab technicians at Nawaloka Medical Laboratory failed to inform me that the results for the 'serum ferritin' test might take one or two days. I only found this out the next day after I inquired about the missing results via WhatsApp. Thankfully, I didn't have an appointment with my doctor the following day, or I would have had to take serious action against this lab for withholding my test results. Additionally, when they drew my blood, the needle was inserted incorrectly, resulting in blood-soaked cotton wool, which has never happened to me before. The staff, particularly Ms. Deshani, are quite adept at denying any mistakes, with her attitude suggesting she believes she can do no wrong. I hope this review serves as a warning to anyone considering putting their health at risk by using the services of such a substandard and untrustworthy health institution.

I went in for an X-ray and was informed that the technician would arrive at 5:30 PM on March 6, 2026. I waited until 5:55 PM, but the technician still hadn't shown up. It’s frustrating to have my time wasted like this—staff really need to be more punctual. Time lost can't be regained, and I hope management understands that time is the most precious thing we have. After waiting for 30 minutes, the receptionist finally informed me that the technician wouldn’t be coming today.
