Exceptional Journey with Ceylon Roots

Our experience with Ceylon Roots was fantastic, largely thanks to our driver, Mr. Nawshad, who truly elevated our trip. From the outset, we felt completely at ease with his driving. Navigating the busy Sri Lankan roads, he remained calm, professional, and very attentive. What stood out to us was his flexibility. Whenever we wanted to stop for coffee or lunch, or needed to tweak our plans, he was quick to accommodate our requests. He suggested wonderful restaurants and spas throughout our journey, all of which we enjoyed. In Kandy, he secured front row seats for the cultural dance show, adding a special touch to the experience. While in Sigiriya, he arranged a private safari jeep for us and recommended a village safari that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We did face an issue with delayed luggage at the start of our travels. Mr. Nawshad and the Ceylon Roots team quickly stepped in, contacting airport operations directly and driving us to the airport to retrieve our bag. Their proactive assistance was reassuring and transformed what could have been a stressful moment. Having a driver who managed all the arrangements made our journey completely stress-free. We didn’t need to worry about tickets, timing, or logistics. Everything was organized seamlessly, allowing us to fully appreciate the experience. We are incredibly thankful for Mr. Nawshad's professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. We wholeheartedly recommend both him and Ceylon Roots to anyone planning to visit Sri Lanka.

Excellent Trip with Indika and Ceylon Roots

We just got back from a 10-day journey organized by Marco Polo through Ceylon Roots. Our driver, Indika Ranasinghe, was incredibly professional, attentive, kind, and considerate. He made sure that nothing was too much trouble. The final day was quite stressful due to the unrest in the Middle East, but he and his team helped us navigate an extra day in Colombo. We highly recommend Indika and Ceylon Roots.

Unforgettable Sri Lankan Adventure

Our visit to Sri Lanka was truly memorable, largely due to Ceylon Roots and our fantastic driver, Mr. Weerakoon. From the arrival, everything was meticulously arranged and flawlessly executed, allowing us to relax and fully appreciate the country's beauty. The itinerary was a great mix of cultural experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and moments to unwind. We enjoyed a jeep safari in Wilpattu National Park, explored a verdant tea plantation, visited ancient temples, and took a beautiful train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. Although the train ride wasn't part of our initial plans, Mr. Weerakoon managed to get us last-minute tickets. In Ella, we hiked to Nine Arches Bridge, where chaos ensued as tourists fled from aggressive wasps. Due to the language barrier, we were unsure of what was happening, but Mr. Weerakoon quickly guided us to safety, and we were grateful for his swift action. Throughout our journey, Mr. Weerakoon was outstanding. He was not only a safe and skilled driver but also incredibly kind, punctual, and knowledgeable. The fresh mangos he picked from his garden were a delightful treat! He offered insights into Sri Lankan culture and history, pointed us to wonderful local spots, and always made sure we were comfortable and well cared for. His friendly demeanor truly enhanced our trip. Ceylon Roots excelled in customizing our trip to align with our interests and managing every detail. We felt well cared for from start to finish. We wholeheartedly recommend Ceylon Roots and especially Mr. Weerakoon to anyone considering a trip to Sri Lanka. It was a remarkable experience we'll treasure for years to come.

Exceptional tour with knowledgeable guide

My wife and I had an incredible time with our guide, Mr. Dammika. He escorted us from Colombo to Yala, then to Weligama and Galle. The whole experience was fantastic from beginning to end. Dammika's expertise about Sri Lanka and its wildlife really stood out. In Yala, we were lucky enough to spot a leopard, a bear, and an elephant, which were definite highlights of our trip. We wholeheartedly recommend Dammika for any future tours. We can’t wait to return!
