Our experience at Celestiya Ayurvedic Resort was excellent. If you're seeking top-notch Ayurvedic treatment in the Bentota area, Celestiya is the ideal spot. The owner, Mr. Chandana, was exceptionally kind, professional, and knowledgeable.

Overall, it was quite underwhelming. The service left much to be desired. I stayed for three days, and despite my requests, no one came to clean the room. Additionally, we were given just two small water bottles. When we asked for more water the next day, the staff questioned us, even though extra water is typically provided during housekeeping. I would recommend skipping this place.

Honestly, I would have rated this hotel a two-star, but things did get better. We initially had a tough start because we booked a triple room but ended up with a double. They did provide us with an extra bed, which was considerate. The menu left much to be desired, but after discussing it with the manager, we reached a resolution. The pool was fantastic and the food was outstanding, although we did encounter some mosquitoes. Overall, it could have been worse, so in summary, it was fine. However, I wouldn't say our stay was particularly great!

While on holiday in Sri Lanka this December, I had a fantastic experience at the Celestia Wellness Centre. The atmosphere of the center is so serene and soothing that it instantly makes you feel at ease and well taken care of. Chandana, the owner, is exceptionally warm, professional, and knowledgeable. He truly takes the time to understand your individual needs and makes sure you feel comfortable throughout your visit. His dedication to wellness and healing is evident in how the center operates. I’m really pleased I found Celestia Wellness Centre during my trip, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka who is in search of quality wellness and holistic care.

We chose this hotel for a family wedding nearby, but it turned out to be a huge mistake. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process felt rushed, with staff urging us to pay before we had even settled in. The front desk attendants were relentless, following us until we had our bags down and payment ready. We were placed in the right-wing rooms, but then encountered a serious problem: the water supply to the toilets completely cut off. This was especially frustrating as we had elderly family members and children with us, and we overheard another family from Australia experiencing the same issue. Staff mentioned it was a "breakdown," which is unacceptable for a hotel. The room lighting was inadequate, making it difficult to find our things. When we asked about it, they said it was part of their Ayurvedic concept. While I appreciate unique themes, guests need basic amenities like water and lighting. The front office staff lacked professionalism and seemed clueless about customer service. We had several rooms booked, and most had various problems. Requests for simple items like bottled water or toilet paper took ages to fulfill, delaying our ability to shower or use the restroom. Breakfast was another letdown; there were flies everywhere and a very limited selection. During my two-day stay, the only consistent options were sautéed potatoes and bread—hardly a breakfast menu. Overall, this hotel did not meet even the most basic expectations: ❌ No water ❌ Poor lighting ❌ Unprofessional staff ❌ Slow service ❌ Fly-infested breakfast with limited choices. We truly regret our decision to stay here. I definitely would NOT recommend this place. Very disappointed.

My family and I had a fantastic time at Celestia Ayurvedic Resort. After hectic workweeks, this was just the right spot to unwind and clear my mind in a serene setting. The lush greenery surrounding the resort, along with the fresh air, really enhances the soothing vibe. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, which contributed to a delightful stay. I want to especially mention the Ayurvedic treatments, which were outstanding. Following a thorough consultation, the doctor suggested a full body massage for me, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The staff were not only highly skilled but also friendly and attentive, making the whole treatment both relaxing and refreshing.
