Exceptional Ayurveda Spa Experience

You have to check out this little Ayurveda spa! 🤩 We've visited twice and enjoyed both a full-body massage and a Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead). The quality of the treatments was remarkable. The oils used were top-notch and wonderfully fragrant. We've never experienced such a thorough and effective massage before, leaving us completely relaxed. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The rooms are basic, but they are kept very clean. However, if you're expecting ambient music, incense, candles, flowers, and other frills, you might be let down. Here, the emphasis is on the quality of the treatment, and the prices are fair. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 You can make reservations through WhatsApp. A little tip: It's better to make your appointments in person. There's something like a "guide mafia" operating here. They claim to have brought you in and then try to get a commission. The owner seems to be quite affected by these practices.

Excellent Massages in a Calm Atmosphere

We had a fantastic experience here. My wife enjoyed a 60-minute Ayurvedic full body massage while I opted for a 60-minute sports massage. Both therapists were skilled and very attentive. During our time in Sri Lanka, we had several massages, and while some of our sore spots had improved, they still managed to discover new tension areas and address them effectively. After our massages, we both felt lighter and more relaxed. The ambiance was serene, and the staff were friendly and respectful. We highly recommend this place for a quality massage in Bentota. Exceptional Ayurvedic Treatments

During my visit to Bentota in November and December 2025, I had the pleasure of experiencing a massage at Prabodha Ayurveda Spa. My therapist was a very friendly and skilled woman who took the time to ask about my areas of discomfort, providing extra attention to those spots. The massage lasted two hours and featured special Ayurveda oil that felt fantastic all over my body. Afterward, I was offered a cup of Ayurveda tea. The spa itself is beautifully decorated, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. My next appointment included a shirodara treatment followed by a two-hour hot steam bath infused with fresh Bentota plants. The therapist applied very hot Ayurveda oil to my face for 25 minutes, which was not only pleasant but also said to help prevent colds and nasal congestion. Another woman assisted with the steam bath, which was initially quite hot but became delightful when combined with the fresh plants, and I was told it was excellent for health and harmonizing the body. This session lasted about 30 minutes. A big shoutout from Franky to the wonderful team at Prabodha Ayurveda Spa for the amazing treatments provided by both ladies. I look forward to returning next year.

In Bentota, many spas charge high prices, typically over 10,000 rupees. However, this spa provides a one-hour full body Ayurveda massage for just 7,000 rupees. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff are friendly, and they deliver a good massage. Plus, it's conveniently located.

Great Ayurvedic Experience in Bentota

During my stay in Bentota in February 2026, I visited this Ayurvedic center three times, bringing my mother and aunt along for two of those visits. This clearly reflects how pleased we were with the treatments offered here. It's advisable to schedule an appointment in advance, which you can easily do via WhatsApp, though you can also drop by, but be aware they might be busy. The staff is very friendly, and they provide a nice variety of massages, including warm oil drips and a steam bath in a wooden barrel. I'll share their menu, although keep in mind prices may change (as of February 2026). Additionally, I must mention the adorable snow-white cats (two of them) that are perfect for any cat lover like me. Their hours are from 08:00 to 22:00.

Excellent Massage at Great Price

I visited this massage studio for the third time today with my boyfriend. The massage is top-notch, comparable to what you'd find in a 5-star hotel! Plus, the price is very reasonable. It's not on par with Thai prices, and for Bentota, it's quite affordable! While it may not be as cozy as places in Germany, the massage costs only a third of what you'd pay there. Just close your eyes and enjoy the experience! The studio is managed by a skilled married couple. There’s complete silence during the massage, and they effectively release all muscle tension and blockages. I was always massaged by the woman, and when I turned over, she kindly asked if I wanted a towel to cover myself. Additionally, this studio is home to some of the most beautiful cats in Sri Lanka. Perhaps adding some music could enhance the relaxation even further. Regardless, I highly recommend the massage here. We've tried three different studios in Bentota, and this is where we felt the most at ease! Thank you.
