    A Relaxing Gem in Tangalle

This place is genuinely a hidden treasure in Tangalle. After a week filled with wedding festivities, we chose to unwind there for a few days. From the moment I contacted Gayan to when we checked out, our experience was delightful. A special shoutout to Ishan and the attentive staff members Lalith, Chathurunga, and Sri Kantha for their excellent care.

Great food, service; rooms need work

The hotel’s pool and food were quite impressive. The staff is dedicated to ensuring you have a pleasant stay. However, the rooms could use some improvement. Given the high prices for the island, we expected the rooms to be cleaner and more decorated.

    Clean Rooms with Great Views

The rooms are clean and roomy, offering fantastic views. The pool is nice and tranquil. However, the service was sluggish, which didn't align with my expectations for the price. I had to wait almost thirty minutes for my order to arrive, even though I was the first one in the breakfast restaurant.

    Charming hotel with great food

This hotel is truly lovely! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the newly renovated rooms are both beautiful and spacious. The hotel and pool area offer stunning views of a fishing harbor, which you can reach by a set of steps, and there’s a nice spot nearby for swimming in calm waters. The food was definitely a highlight; both breakfast and dinner were excellent, especially the Sri Lankan breakfast offered every morning! We did encounter a minor issue with our room not being cleaned because there wasn't a sign to indicate it needed cleaning, and this wasn't explained to us at check-in. However, once we brought it to their attention, they quickly resolved it and cleaned our room. I would also suggest taking an evening trip to the turtle beach at Rekawa, which is just a short drive from the hotel.

    Relaxing getaway with great views

This spot is ideal for unwinding by the pool. A stunning wild beach is just a 5-minute walk away, featuring a calm ocean that's great for swimming. The room is spacious and tidy, with friendly service and delicious food at the restaurant. There's a nice selection of wines and drinks at the bar. Additionally, you can find other dining options close by for dinner. Fresh fish is always on the menu, although how well it's cooked can vary depending on the chef's skill. It's a peaceful place, perfect for a tranquil vacation, and the sunrise views are breathtaking!

    Charming hotel with ocean views

This hotel is quite small, likely housing around 20 rooms, all oriented towards the ocean and the sunrise. The rooms are spacious and cozy, featuring large windows that provide a perfect view of the sunrise. There's a pleasant pool and a good breakfast selection, although it could use a bit more variety. The fresh juices and fruits are a nice touch. The staff here are very friendly. The restaurant is decent but not exceptional, with average pricing and fresh seafood—definitely ask for the catch of the day. To reach the beach, it's about a 5-minute walk, but the harbor area offers calm waters for swimming, unlike some of the busier beaches in Sri Lanka. While the hotel is situated in a more remote area, there are still a few local tavernas nearby. They also have a small spa that offers massages and ayurvedic treatments.

    Charming hotel with stunning views

This hotel ranks among the best we’ve experienced. It’s a cozy place with just 8 rooms split across 4 cottages, each featuring two levels. Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We opted for a double room on the upper floor, which included a complimentary single bed with railings, perfect for a cot. The breathtaking view was definitely the highlight; we enjoyed a gorgeous sunrise right from our bed. The on-site restaurant also provided a lovely view and a nice atmosphere, plus the food was delicious. The infinity pool, while of average size, offered a fantastic view of the ocean. One downside is that there’s no separate baby pool, so parents need to be cautious as the pool slopes steeply to a depth of about 6 feet. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the waiters at the restaurant. Even though the hotel is right next to the beach, there’s no direct access; you have to use a footpath just outside. The beach itself is a small fishing harbor with many boats, so privacy is somewhat limited.

A lovely getaway in Sri Lanka

We spent three nights here and really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were quite spacious and only two months old, giving everything a luxurious vibe. The pools were fantastic. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food was decent as well. It's a wonderful spot to escape the hustle and bustle of Sri Lanka for a few days, though it is a bit pricey.
