    Excellent Stay at Abhaya Mandapa

    We had a fantastic experience at Abhaya Mandapa. Its location is superb, just a short distance from Ruwanweli Maha Seya. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our rooms were not only clean but also spacious, and the balcony views were stunning. The food was quite tasty as well. The manager was very attentive and quick to respond to our needs. I would certainly recommend Abhaya Mandapa for anyone seeking a quality hotel in Anuradhapura.

    Comfortable stay with friendly service

    We recently spent some time at Abaya Mandapaya and had a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Ranil Prasanna, and the check-in and check-out processes went off without a hitch. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location was convenient, offering easy access to nearby attractions. Ranil really went the extra mile to help us find suitable transportation for our short outings around town. The meals provided were vegetarian and came with plenty of options, all of which were delicious. We also appreciated the tranquil atmosphere and the quality of housekeeping. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to others and would definitely come back again.

    Fantastic Stay in Anuradhapura

    This is the best place to stay in Anuradhapura! It’s conveniently located right by the Basawakkulama tank, offering a stunning view. The location is ideal since major attractions like Ruwanwelisaya and Thuparamaya are just a short distance away. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are very affordable. The food was tasty as well. I really have no complaints or suggestions for improvement. I highly recommend it!

    Great view and cozy stay

    My wife and I spent a night here, and I must say, this place boasts the best view in Anuradhapura. We were thankful to have booked a room with a direct view of the impressive stupas. The room was cozy, and the vegetarian food was surprisingly delicious. The service was very generous, even with some minor renovations happening; the staff was accommodating and made sure our stay was not negatively impacted. We definitely plan to return to this spot on our next visit to Anuradhapura.

One of the most enchanting aspects was the view from the balcony: uninterrupted vistas of Ruwanweli Maha Seya, Mirisawetiya Stupa, and Sanda Hiru Seya. Waking up to such a sacred and tranquil view is priceless, leaving a lasting impression long after your stay. Another delightful surprise was that the hotel is completely vegetarian. The food was not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared, perfectly matching the serene ambiance. What truly distinguishes Abhaya Mandapa is the staff. They are incredibly friendly, respectful, and consistently go the extra mile to ensure guests feel valued.     Perfect Stay in Anuradhapura

    My experience at Anuradhapura has been the best yet! The location is fantastic, offering stunning views of the four Sthupas: Ruwanweliseya, Mirisawetiya, Sandahiru seya, and Jethavanaramaya. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived, and the meals were delicious. Our room was spotless and featured an amazing balcony view, making everything about our stay feel perfect. For those with religious inclinations, this is an ideal spot for Buddhists since they serve only vegetarian meals and have a dedicated area for preparing "Kiriahara" to your liking. If you provide the ingredients, they’ll cook it for you with great respect. The views during both early morning and night are truly breathtaking! The staff is always kind and smiling, readily addressing any needs that arise. This place feels more like home than a hotel. My family and I are grateful to have found it and are already looking forward to our next visit without any concerns! Thank you for a warm and welcoming stay!

    Great stay with attentive service

    We really enjoyed our time at Abhaya Mandapa. The staff was very attentive and accommodating, making adjustments to our dinner and breakfast times. Our room was clean and we liked the variety of free TV channels available, even though we didn’t watch any. The bathrooms were in great shape, with both hot and cold water, and we had plenty of fresh towels. The air conditioning and ceiling fan were effective, and the rooms boasted high ceilings and attractive lighting. From the balcony, we had a breathtaking view of Abhaya Weewa across the street, where we could see four stupas. When we inquired about mosquitoes, the manager was upfront and suggested we keep the balcony door shut. We appreciated this honesty and, in fact, didn’t encounter any mosquitoes in our room. The location is fantastic; just cross the street and you'll find a walking path along the Abhaya Wewwa Bund, perfect for enjoying beautiful views at sunset, night, and in the morning. The food was vegetarian and served warm, and I particularly liked the breakfast the most.

    Great experience with a large group

    With a group of 14, we essentially had the hotel to ourselves, which certainly contributed to our fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and capable, the food was top-notch, and the location was ideal. The hotel was clean and quiet, allowing me to sleep soundly after a hectic day. Even though we only stayed for two nights, it was truly enjoyable.

    Fantastic service and great location

    The rooms are neat and cozy. You can't beat the location, directly across from Sri Lanka's oldest man-made lake, dating back to the 4th century BC. The staff is very accommodating. The manager, Mr. Ranilprasanna, is exceptional; he arranged a buffet dinner specifically designed to cater to our preferences. Truly outstanding service!

    Great lakeside stay with minor service hiccups

    We spent two nights here from March 11 to 13. The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the lake, offering lovely views of the temples across the water. The rooms are nicely designed, featuring a good use of natural materials. The meals cater primarily to South Asian guests, so even breakfast tends to be mostly savory. I particularly enjoyed some dishes, like the mushroom curry (which made an appearance at breakfast once) and the sambol. The staff live on-site, which is convenient, although I did find myself needing to follow up occasionally on my meal orders. The manager, Prasanna, was very friendly and welcoming.
