Fantastic Private Whale-Watching Experience

We had an amazing experience with this tour company! We arranged a private boat trip with friends, and the cost was surprisingly reasonable—better than the rates for shared boats. Although they only operate out of Mirissa, they organized a smooth pick-up and drop-off for us in Weligama. The team went the extra mile by serving breakfast customized to everyone's tastes, which was a lovely gesture. We were lucky enough to see whales several times, and the boat crew stayed out until we were completely happy with our adventure. On our way back, we noticed that only a few boats remained on the water—evidence of the extra time they dedicated to our tour. At the end of the day, we realized we left a bag in a tuk-tuk. The owners promptly tracked it down and ensured it was safely returned to us in Weligama. They were friendly, humble, and truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them for a personalized and unforgettable whale-watching experience!

Amazing Whale Watching Experience

We got this tour company through our hotel host's recommendation. Randika was our contact, and after chatting with him on Saturday evening, we were picked up from our hotel at 6am on Sunday by a tuk tuk and taken to the Mirissa harbour. Upon arrival, Randika welcomed us, and we completed our payments. The boat was great, and we chose to sit at the front on the lower deck, which we really enjoyed. For breakfast, we were provided with boxed sandwiches and had unlimited water available. Later, they served cakes and pineapple slices. The boat ride was very relaxing, and we spotted turtles, dolphins, flying fish, and the highlight—a massive whale right next to our boat. Everyone around us saw it, but before we could snap good pictures, it disappeared. A few of us exchanged WhatsApp numbers to share our whale photos. It was such an exhilarating experience. Afterward, Randika generously drove us to town instead of our hotel. We would absolutely use this tour company again and highly recommend them for whale watching tours.

Terrifying boat experience

We arranged our boat trip through the hotel, but things went wrong when the engine broke down while we were at sea. After 25 minutes of waiting, I kept asking them to call for assistance, but no one did. The crew member on the boat kept saying they were trying to fix the engine. Thankfully, we had cell service and had to contact people on land to send a rescue boat. Another boat arrived 30 minutes later, but initially, they wanted us to swim over to it. We told them that wasn't an option with kids on board and requested to be towed instead. Finally, they agreed to tow us with a rope that seemed too flimsy to do the job. Fortunately, the coast guard arrived with a stronger rope, and after about 45 minutes, we were safely back on shore! It was a frightening experience. Spotting whales was the last thing on our minds; all we wanted was to get back safely.
