Needs Maintenance but Great Location

After many years, I returned to this hotel and felt a bit disheartened due to its poor upkeep and lack of energy. The room wasn't as clean as I remembered, and the Wi-Fi was non-functional in the room. On the plus side, the location is fantastic, and the atmosphere is tranquil. I heard the owner is considering building a new hotel, but in the meantime, a little investment could improve the place and boost business. I really hope he finds the motivation to restore it to its former charm. The receptionist was very pleasant.

Friendly budget hotel in Negombo

This budget hotel offers great value right in the heart of Negombo. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, really enhancing our stay! Our room featured a charming balcony with a sea view, where we loved relaxing in the evenings. While the place is a bit worn and could use some fresh paint, we were able to overlook those flaws given the price and the beautiful setting!

Nice host but cleanliness issues

We stayed for one night without a prior reservation. The host was very accommodating, providing us with a spacious room that had a large private patio. He also organized a lagoon boat tour for us at a fair price, and throughout our stay, he was genuinely kind and helpful. However, the cleanliness of the room was a major drawback. The bathroom walls had smashed bugs all over them, and it appeared as if it had just been hosed down and left to dry. We spent our evening battling numerous mosquitoes and bugs that were buzzing around our room, even inside the mosquito net. To make matters worse, the sheets didn't seem clean, and in the morning, I found a sizable bug leg on the sheets where we had slept. While the host was a nice person, we wouldn't choose to stay here again.

The location and service are excellent! While some rooms are still being renovated, the other half of the hotel is quite nice.

I was really let down by this hotel. We experienced a power outage during a very hot night with no backup, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. The bathrooms were not clean and still damp upon our arrival. Additionally, the hotel is quite old and not well-maintained. To top it off, the bed sheets appeared to be used and didn’t feel fresh. Overall, it’s definitely not worth the price.

Great views but limited food options

This hotel is located by the seaside in Negombo. There are a few free parking spots available. I stayed here for one night with about 8 friends. The rooms are in average condition, but the view is fantastic. However, there's no food service available at the hotel.

Affordable but lacks cleanliness and comfort

The hostel is affordable, but it definitely has its drawbacks. The room wasn't clean, the bed was uncomfortable, and we were given a bed sheet that was too small for us. Additionally, the room has open areas that allow insects to enter, and outside noise was quite audible.

Great stay in Negombo

Our experience at this hotel in Negombo was wonderful! The rooms were tidy, roomy, and extremely comfortable, equipped with all we required for a restful stay. Its location was ideal — just a short walk to the beach, eateries, and stores.
