This place shouldn't really be labeled as a 4-star hotel. It lacks a gym and misses several other criteria set by the SL tourism board for that classification.

Great views but needs updating
We visited in February 2026 during our tour of Sri Lanka. The hotel is located at the peak of a steep hill, offering fantastic views, but you’ll have to drive to reach the center of Kandy. However, this hotel is definitely showing its age. The room had a very firm bed…

Beautiful location with minor issues
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The setting is breathtaking. Getting to town via tuktuk is effortless. However, one morning during breakfast, the air felt a bit harsh, but I did request the windows to be opened.

Great views but steep walk
The hotel sits atop a hill offering stunning views. However, the downside is that it’s quite a trek to walk into the city, and the uphill return to the hotel is definitely not an easy journey.
