Hemant and his wife Chami are genuine professionals who really understand the industry. They lead a team of dedicated planners who are always kind and ready to assist 24/7. You can clearly see that everyone is well-versed in what they do. They were there for us at every turn, providing answers to every question and solutions to every issue. They treat you like family, and now we consider them part of ours. For anyone thinking about a destination wedding in Sri Lanka, Hemant Dadlani Weddings is the only choice you need to make.

    Wonderful Wedding Planning Experience

    We collaborated with Hemant Dadlani and his team for our wedding on 26.02.26 at Anantara Tangalle, and it’s hard to believe a month has already passed since the festivities! In the lead-up to the wedding, communication wasn’t as seamless as we wished. There were times when responses took longer than anticipated, and we often had to follow up on various points. This might have been due to the team balancing other urgent events or simply the pace of operations in Sri Lanka, which felt a bit slower than what we’re accustomed to. At one stage, with several team members involved, coordination became somewhat overwhelming, and some details got overlooked. We believe having a single point of contact would have streamlined the planning process significantly. However, once the wedding events kicked off, everything fell into place beautifully. The team was consistently present, attentive, and ready to assist at a moment's notice—exactly what you need on your big day. Knowing they were managing everything behind the scenes allowed us to truly relax, enjoy, and soak in every moment of our wedding, which was a huge plus. They perfectly grasped our vision and did a fantastic job executing our ideas for the flow and décor. Watching everything come together on the day was incredibly special and matched our expectations exactly. Overall, we couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome. The team radiated positive energy, remained composed under pressure, and delivered when it mattered most. We would wholeheartedly recommend the HD team to anyone planning a wedding in Sri Lanka. Following the wedding, we had a small debrief over a delightful meal with Hemant & Chami, going over all the highlights and minor issues that are completely normal for events of this scale. We appreciated their professionalism in addressing where things didn’t go perfectly. There’s no ego involved; the team’s main focus is on providing help, and their openness to reflect and improve gives us confidence that future couples will be in excellent hands.

    Disappointing Wedding Planning Experience

    We collaborated with Hemant and his team for over seven months but ultimately decided to sever ties just three months before our wedding due to a persistently unsatisfactory experience. From the start, there was a noticeable lack of organization and structure. Timelines were ignored, communication was erratic, and we often found ourselves having to follow up for even minor updates. One major issue was their refusal to provide proper invoices or confirmations for vendor payments, which we felt was a reasonable expectation as a couple planning a destination wedding from Dubai. What was even more disappointing was the professionalism displayed. Communication often seemed dismissive, and at times, even disrespectful—especially towards my wife. This only added to the stress of the process. Deciding to let Hemant and his team go was undoubtedly the best choice we made during our wedding planning. No couple should endure such disorganization and lack of accountability, particularly for such a significant event in their lives. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, both to enhance client experiences and to improve the treatment of clients. For context, we are based in Dubai and had our destination wedding at Anantara Peace Haven, Tangalle, which turned out to be amazing, thanks to our decision to move on from Hemant Dadlani Weddings and work with another planner. Before making any commitments, I highly recommend clearly establishing expectations from the beginning, as our experience fell drastically short of what was promised.
