I've been to this place a few times over the years, and I've always enjoyed the food. However, during my latest visit, things were a bit different. The dumplings were still delicious, but the noodle dish we chose fell short. It was packed with carrots and had a noticeable amount of MSG.

This was my second visit with my family, and we were once again very pleased. The dumplings are freshly prepared and cooked, featuring thin wrappers and ample fillings; the tomato and egg stir-fry pairs especially well with rice. The owner is quite friendly; he even safeguarded my phone when I accidentally left it behind on my last visit. The prices are fair, coming in at under 3,000 rupees per person. The restaurant has a simple yet clean and tidy decor. The only drawback is that it tends to get busy during lunchtime, which might require you to wait for a table. It's a great choice for families since they have high chairs available. Parking is also convenient. I highly suggest trying the pork and scallion dumplings along with the Kung Pao chicken, as they offer authentic Chinese home-style dishes that are hard to find in Colombo. The service is attentive, and they actively suggest dishes. Vegetarian options are available as well. Overall, it's a very affordable Chinese restaurant that’s definitely worth revisiting.

We stumbled upon this cafe while looking at the map. The staff were welcoming, and I really enjoyed the rice and tomatoes with eggs. The pork and cabbage dumplings had a unique flavor thanks to the ginger spices, which might take some getting used to. However, the cafe did have a bit of an unpleasant smell.

This place serves fantastic Chinese dishes at a reasonable price. I’m always a fan of their schezwan pork and any type of pan-fried dumplings. The pork pairs perfectly with steamed rice. The staff is friendly, and the owner is very welcoming. They've been accommodating with my special requests, even slightly before and after their operating hours. All in all, it’s a wonderful spot for a satisfying meal.

Whenever I visit Dumpling Long, I can always count on enjoying reliably delicious food. It's a small spot and doesn’t fit the typical "restaurant" mold, so just keep that in mind. However, the food is truly outstanding…
