    Mixed feelings about the stay

    Before you make a reservation, here’s what to consider. I would have given a higher score, but the treatment we received towards the end of our visit left a sour taste. Although we had arranged for a late check-out at 12:30, at 11:50 AM, our friends were called to inform them that someone would be coming to collect our bags because check-out was at noon. This isn't how guests should be treated, and they shouldn't have confirmed a late check-out if that was the case. The hotel staff are very welcoming, and the lobby area is beautiful. Breakfast is quite pricey for the limited options available. Regarding the rooms, they are clean and the beds are comfortable, but they aren't as spacious as they appear. The balcony is nice. The pool area offers stunning views of the beach, but unfortunately, swimming isn't safe there. I found this disappointing because I assumed a private beach would allow us to swim. Be cautious with the laundry service as they damaged my husband's suit pants and T-shirt. On a positive note, the rest of the staff are incredibly friendly. While the hotel claims to be five stars, I would personally rate it as a three-star compared to other hotels in Sri Lanka.

    Wonderful Stay at Radisson Collection Galle

    I recently spent some time at the Radisson Collection Galle and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and ensured that everything was just right. I want to give a special shoutout to Yomanthika at the front desk, as well as Pawani and Jeewantha from the breakfast restaurant. Their blend of professionalism, warmth, and kindness truly made my stay memorable. They exceeded expectations in every aspect of hospitality. The hotel's location is also ideal, with everything easily reachable by TukTuk. The food was delicious, especially the a la carte breakfast. The rooms were spacious and boasted stunning ocean views. However, I did feel that the shower could use a shelf for added convenience, and the bathroom could offer a bit more privacy. Overall, I highly recommend this resort located in the coastal area of Sri Lanka. Despite these minor inconveniences, the staff went out of their way to ensure a wonderful holiday experience.

    Exceptional stay at Radisson Galle

    I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Radisson Collection Resort in Galle, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! A heartfelt thank you to Nelumi, Apsara, and the entire team for their exceptional hospitality. They really went the extra mile to ensure our stay was the best it could be. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly valued. The team included lovely personal touches to our celebration, making it even more memorable and meaningful. Our room was spacious, pristine, and beautifully kept. The whole hotel is clean, stylish, and simply fantastic. The staff service is remarkably warm, attentive, and always eager to assist with a smile. The food was also quite good; every meal was delicious and well-prepared. If you're heading to the south, this is undoubtedly the best place to stay. Everything about this hotel—the service, the atmosphere, the staff—creates a top-tier experience. Kudos once more to Nelumi, Apsara, and the entire team for making our stay so special. Highly recommended!🌟

    Disappointing luxury experience

    Our stay in an ocean view suite was disappointing, and it certainly didn’t live up to a 5-star rating. The room was not well-maintained, as you'll see in the attached photos. We discovered bluebottle flies—one in the shower cubicle and another in the living room. The balcony's glass fence was shattered, which is quite alarming, especially for families with small children. Additionally, the curtains were ripped and poorly stitched, resembling an amateur DIY job rather than proper upkeep. We also found hair in several places, including the bathtub and bedside table, among various other cleanliness issues. The sticky coffee mug stains on the bedside tables and other surfaces were off-putting. Given the high price we paid, the overall experience didn't justify the cost and fell short of what one would expect from a luxury stay. Breakfast was decent, and the staff were polite, but they often got caught up in lengthy conversations and gossip, leading to delays in service—I had to look around for a while to get their attention. On a brighter note, the kids’ room was well-managed, the location is excellent, and the staff's attitude was generally positive. However, this property clearly does not meet 5-star standards. It seems there’s still a significant distance to cover before it can honestly claim that status.

    Room amenities need improvement

    There’s no body lotion provided with the amenities, and the shower area has a drainage issue where the water gets stuck every time. The balcony lacks a table, although I saw that other rooms have that feature. Additionally, the area around the bed's headboard was quite dusty, which suggests it hasn’t been cleaned properly.
