    Comfortable stay with great breakfast

    Serein Beach Hotel was perfect for my needs. It’s a cozy mid-range option with nice amenities like a fridge and a kettle for those necessary cups of tea. I appreciated its location—situated almost at the very end of the road—close enough to restaurants and town but far from the busiest areas. I rented a bicycle, which made getting around very convenient. The pool was delightful, and my early morning walks on the beautiful, peaceful beach were a highlight; I encountered only a few other walkers and local fishermen beginning their day. While swimming is only possible about 800 metres away, the walk there added to the charm. Breakfast was the highlight: fresh, tasty, and ample. I particularly enjoyed the curd and tropical fruit. Nipuna and Abye made me feel like part of the family, and their warmth greatly enhanced my stay. I also met the owner, who offered me a drink and was incredibly welcoming. Thank you for taking such good care of me. I would love to come back.

    Charming retreat with great breakfast

    This is an ideal little escape. The breakfast was flawless, and the staff provided excellent service—attentive but not intrusive. There's a lovely variety of seating options, including sunbeds, sofas, and beanbags, along with a beautiful pool and fantastic A/C (if you opt for a deluxe room!). I would come back in no time—thank you!

    Charming beach hotel experience

    This is a wonderful hotel featuring 8 rooms located on the quiet beach of Tangalle. The breakfast options are excellent, offering both European and, if requested, Sri Lankan dishes. The staff is attentive, bringing coffee straight to your room and crafting delicious cocktails. After a morning walk along the beach, you can enjoy a swim in the ocean or cool off in the beautiful pool. The rooms come with mosquito nets, a fridge, and a kettle, plus there’s hot water available for the shower. It truly was a delightful stay!

    Fantastic hotel experience in Tangalle

    We initially intended to stay in Tangalle for just two days, but we quickly opted to extend our visit to three. The main reason was this amazing hotel. Everything from the rooms and breakfast to the pool and the beach right next to the hotel, along with the staff and the owners, was fantastic! Thank you so much for the lovely time and the bottle of wine for my birthday :)

    Great stay with charming surroundings

    We had a fantastic experience at Serein. The staff and host were incredibly accommodating, making us feel right at home. Initially, we had booked for three nights but decided to extend our visit to six, and it was definitely worth it. Breakfast was excellent, with the freedom to request whatever we desired. Our room was cozy and offered a stunning sea view—the soothing sound of the waves helped us drift off to sleep. There were monkeys playing around, adding to the delightful atmosphere, yet the location was still conveniently close to the city, achieving a perfect balance. I highly recommend this place!

    Fantastic family-friendly hotel experience

    Our hotel stay was a huge success. The vibe was incredibly family-oriented, which helped us feel comfortable and welcomed right away. The service was excellent – consistently helpful, friendly, and cheerful. The breakfasts were tasty, diverse, and made with great attention to detail. A special shoutout to the manager, who was always on hand to assist and ensure guests were comfortable. I highly recommend this place – it was just wonderful!

    Fantastic Stay at Serein Beach Hotel

    We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Serein Beach Hotel. After going through some earlier reviews, we honestly don't understand the complaints because our experience was simply delightful. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic – warm, attentive, and truly kind. They went out of their way to assist us; when we requested extra pillows, they were brought to us right away with a smile. Whatever we needed was addressed swiftly and graciously. The hotel itself is stunning and offers great value for what you pay. Falling asleep each night to the sound of waves crashing on the beach was heavenly. The air conditioning worked flawlessly (again, I can't fathom why anyone would complain about it!) and kept our room pleasantly cool. The pool area is gorgeous, and the loungers were incredibly comfortable – honestly better than those at the other five hotels we visited during our trip. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a generous spread each morning with a wide variety of options – it was definitely a highlight. It’s important to mention that you can't swim directly in front of the hotel because of the strong waves, which is typical for Tangalle. However, if you walk a short distance in either direction, you’ll find calmer spots perfect for swimming. We genuinely have no complaints and would absolutely return. Highly recommended.
