Charming stay at Vila Blu

Vila Blu is a hidden treasure located next to one of Sri Lanka’s stunning and secluded beaches. Designed with a refined tropical minimalist aesthetic, the property showcases elegant dark teak wood accents alongside soft white fabrics, creating a calm and timeless vibe. With just five rooms, the hotel offers an exceptionally intimate and private experience—more like a luxurious vacation home than a typical hotel. The lovely pool overlooks the gentle waves of the tranquil beach, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and peace. It's a perfect place to unwind while taking in the soothing sounds of the ocean. The dining and lounge area is just as serene and welcoming. Each morning, we enjoyed the carefully prepared and generous breakfast, served with great attention to detail. Our room was modern and spacious, tastefully decorated, and featured a delightful balcony with sweeping beach views—a perfect spot to begin and end our day. A highlight of our stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by the manager, Kamal, and his wonderful team. Kamal consistently went out of his way to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. His warmth and dedication truly enhanced our experience. One of my favorite memories is strolling along the beach with the hotel’s resident dog, Kalu. She is incredibly sweet and seems to take great pride in caring for both the guests and the property. We are truly thankful for such a memorable stay and would return without hesitation.

Charming beach getaway with great service

After spending 20 days exploring Sri Lanka, we were ready to relax at the beach, and we stumbled upon this gem! With just five rooms, it truly feels like a private villa (and many guests rent it for that purpose), which is understandable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are modern and functional, and the service is exceptional. The food is quite good as well. Kamal, Methun, and their team were fantastic, even going the extra mile to set up a romantic table for us in the garden on our last evening. Be cautious if you plan to swim, as the waves can be quite intense. However, if you're looking for a peaceful escape (aside from the roaring waves), Villa Blu is an excellent option. There are dining options nearby, but the meals at Villa Blu are reasonably priced and likely superior. Walking along the beach (which stretches for at least 5km) was definitely a highlight of our stay. A big thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome! 🙏 P.S. The WiFi here is the fastest we've experienced in all of Sri Lanka!

Stunning seaside stay at Villa Blue

We enjoyed five fantastic days at Villa Blue. The setting is breathtaking, right next to the sea. We felt truly spoiled; the spa was great, and the incredibly polite and accommodating staff arranged all the activities we desired. It was genuinely amazing, and we would definitely love to return!

Quiet getaway with great service

For a peaceful retreat, this is the ideal spot. It feels like you're residing in a lovely villa that’s actually a hotel. All necessary services are available, and there's always someone on hand to assist you. The service and rooms are exceptional. The property feels brand new and is well-maintained, situated in a pleasant area for those wanting to stay in Tanggale. Every staff member is incredibly helpful and friendly, and if we find ourselves in the region again, we will definitely return. I can't recommend this place enough, especially since it has beach access, which is a significant advantage! The on-site restaurant offers fair prices for tourists and is very convenient. Overall, a perfect stay!

Stunning villa by a quiet beach

What an amazing experience! The villa is gorgeous and sits on a peaceful, beautiful beach. The staff is well-trained, and the rooms are fantastic. The only drawback is its distance from other beaches. We rented a scooter through the hotel staff, and it went smoothly. I highly recommend it; it was a 10/10 experience.

Wonderful stay at Villa Blu

We spent 8 nights at Villa Blu, and it’s tough to decide where to start. The service provided by Kamal and his team was outstanding, the hotel is kept in excellent condition, and the pool is absolutely stunning. We also adored the charming and well-mannered guard dog, Callu. The beach nearby is almost empty, which is ideal for enjoying some peace and quiet. Kamal did a fantastic job organizing all our tours and taxi rides. The food at the hotel is top-notch; we sampled several items from the menu, and everything was a perfect 10/10. I highly recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast, which completely surpassed my expectations. A big thank you to the whole team—keep up the amazing work! We look forward to returning.
