The reception lady provided really poor customer service and seemed indifferent to the customers. While the food was acceptable, I can't recommend this place due to the lack of attention to service.

The food is enjoyable, although some dishes were a bit greasier than expected. The portions are quite large; we ended up taking home a lot of leftovers. The place is fantastic, and even when it was raining, they made sure to cover the boat well, so the rain didn't affect us at all.

The manager should learn about good customer service. He wanted us to go to the reception to settle the bill after we had eaten at our table, which was quite inconvenient.

We were thrilled to have lunch at Mar-Coio River Restaurant. It's wonderfully located by the Nilwala River, a place we've often spotted while biking or on river trips and have always wanted to try. The service was exceptional, and a big thank you to Mr. Laknath for his warm hospitality. We ordered the sizzling cuttlefish and boneless chicken with kankun, both expertly prepared and well-seasoned. The fresh ginger, curry, and a hint of chili really stood out among the flavors. The medium-sized egg fried noodles complemented the meal perfectly. The lime juice with a touch of salt was just right. While they don’t serve alcohol, you’re welcome to bring your own. They’re open from 11 am to 11 pm. We’ll definitely return!

The food is truly tasty. However, charging an additional 2000 k just to cut the cake was a misstep. If they had addressed that issue, my experience would have been fantastic.

The location is fantastic, and the place itself is nice. However, my overall experience was quite poor. My bill came to nearly 22,000, and they also charged per person, which I found unacceptable, though I can overlook that. The portion sizes were generous, but the food lacked flavor. I really hope they can improve their customer service.
