This is a lovely little family-run establishment featuring a fantastic pool. However, the room we were assigned had a small window that overlooked the kitchen. Breakfast offered a generous spread. Would I return? Absolutely. I just stayed here again almost a year later, and it remains a wonderful place. They also have a new location nearby called Amarante, which is excellent!

We enjoyed a fantastic 8 days at this lovely location with our family. The location is excellent, and the breakfast was tasty. The swimming pool and spa were definite highlights, making our stay even better. We had a wonderful time and will surely return. A big thank you to the owner and staff for their service.

We spent a night at Bienvenideo hotel in Madiha and it was quite nice. This is our second visit in three years because we enjoyed it so much that we had to return. The owners and staff are very welcoming, and the service is prompt. The pool is well-maintained. Breakfast included toast, coffee or tea, jam, butter, a fruit plate, and yogurt, all of which were quite tasty. There's a beach for swimming just a two-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel also offers sunset fishing and whale watching tours for those who are interested. It's a family-friendly place. However, the bathroom could use some improvement (the ones in the newer rooms are in excellent shape), and the water pressure on the top floors could be better.

This was one of the best stays I've had down south. The staff were truly wonderful. I must highlight the cleanliness; it was exceptional, along with superb hospitality. I would recommend this place for all kinds of travelers.

We really enjoyed our time here! The rooms were spotless, the air conditioning worked exceptionally well, and we always had fresh towels along with an extra bedsheet. Breakfast was good and plentiful, always featuring fresh fruits. Anusha was fantastic; she and her family were incredibly welcoming and assisted us with everything we needed. They arranged a tuk-tuk and our trip to Yala National Park, which was spectacular. The driver was enthusiastic and eager to show us all the wildlife, plus he provided snacks and water for us, which was a nice touch! I would definitely recommend this place. Everything was simply perfect, especially the owners and the entire hotel staff. Their energy and every smile contributed to a fantastic atmosphere. The food was delightful. The rooms are cozy, featuring spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. The beach, restaurants, and shops are just a short walk away. This place is truly amazing! We checked in early and got our room, which was nice but a bit hot. After an hour of sweating, we had a repairman come that night to fix the A/C, and then we enjoyed a cool night's sleep. The staff really put in a lot of effort, and while the place is average, the price is good. There's a pool and a restaurant on-site, plus it's just a short walk to the beach and beachside dining options. Definitely worth considering.

We had a fantastic experience at Bienvenido Cozy Madiha in Matara. The pool area is spacious and beautifully designed, featuring comfy sun loungers and seating spots perfect for relaxation. This really enhances the overall vibe of the place. Our room was quite large, well-furnished, and included a refrigerator and a private bathroom, which contributed to a very comfortable stay. If you're not expecting a five-star luxury hotel—which would be unrealistic here—you’ll find everything you need for a pleasant and relaxing visit. From the start, we received a warm welcome. The owner was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful, even arranging a very affordable transfer for us to Negombo, which we really appreciated. In summary, this is a wonderful place with solid facilities, close to the beach, managed with genuine care and hospitality. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
