The rooms are top-notch, offering a stunning view of the sea. It’s just a two-minute walk to the beach, and the swimming pool is exceptionally well-kept. The staff members are very attentive and caring. This place feels like a paradise in Matara. Thank you for making my stay so memorable!

This place is perfect for a tranquil and laid-back retreat. It's conveniently located near the beach and the town, featuring a private pool and tasty food. The staff is incredibly friendly, going above and beyond for even the smallest requests from guests. I highly recommend it.

If you're in search of a tranquil spot to unwind, this is an excellent choice. While it’s not directly on the beach, the high quality of the room and our overall experience more than makes up for that drawback. Our room was spotless and well-organized. The staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service. The food was tasty as well. However, it's not suitable for those in wheelchairs since there are stairs to navigate.

I visited this place with my husband. Initially, the rooms appeared clean and the overall environment seemed acceptable. However, I soon discovered that the bed was infested with bugs and the sheets weren’t fresh. The bathroom was in poor condition – even the toilet paper wasn’t new, as it was dirty and had cockroaches. There were spider webs everywhere. To make matters worse, the air conditioning broke down in the middle of the night. Since the bedsheets were unclean, I ended up using a bedsheet I had brought from home for the beach. Thankfully, we had only paid half of the room charge. When we spoke to the owner in the morning, he was apologetic and acknowledged the issues, especially since we had photos and videos to prove our claims. We didn’t have to pay the remaining balance and left in the morning, but that night was filled with trouble and frustration. There were bugs and dirt all around, and the staff was unprofessional, often seen smoking throughout the hotel, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. On a brighter note, the pool was clean and satisfactory. I cannot recommend this place!

A big thank you to the Atteriya team for their wonderful hospitality. I completely agree with the positive comments from others. We stayed in a family room that matched the photos, which is not something you can always count on in Sri Lanka. The room was clean, cozy, and had all the necessary amenities, including a basic cooking set. The staff was always eager to assist us. Thanks once more; I hope we can return someday. Our experience was fantastic throughout our visit. We loved it so much that we kept extending our stay! The location was perfect—close to the beach, and we could hear the soothing waves at night, which created a tranquil atmosphere. This is truly a special and lovely place to stay! We spent two weeks here, and everything was just right. The room was really nice, and the hosts and staff were incredibly welcoming, surrounded by beautiful nature. The host was always available to assist with any questions or offer recommendations. We will absolutely return and had a fantastic time!

We spent two weeks at this hotel and absolutely enjoyed our time there. The setting is stunning and notably tranquil, nestled in the third row among lush greenery. The beach is just a 2-minute stroll away from the hotel. Our spacious room offered fantastic views of nature on both sides — waking up to see monkeys in the trees felt like a dream come true. We had a large balcony, a roomy bathroom, and ample space, which was ideal since we were working remotely for two weeks. The serene atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for relaxation and focus. Breakfast was superb. We highly recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast — it was exceptional. Each day offered a slightly different spread, featuring fresh fruit, excellent coffee and tea, and freshly blended juice. Everything was delightful. We also rented a scooter through the hotel, received great local recommendations, and even borrowed a surfboard. The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the entire staff is very courteous and attentive. This is a genuinely high-quality boutique hotel that’s perfect for longer stays. We wholeheartedly recommend it and plan to return every year when we visit Sri Lanka.
