We arrived thinking it would be just another typical budget option, but we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were not only clean but also quite spacious and provided a tranquil atmosphere for our visit. Plus, the resort is conveniently located right in front of the beach, making access a breeze.

This place is conveniently situated right across from Mirissa beach, which is easily accessible. Depending on the season, it’s a fantastic spot for surfing and swimming. The rooms are roomy and well-kept, and the staff, including the owners, are exceptionally welcoming and friendly.

I really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant and meeting Rocky the Rottweiler there. Although I didn’t stay in their accommodations, two friends of mine did. We only came for lunch, and the food was excellent. I attempted to call to make a reservation for another stay, but no one answered the phone.

We had a fantastic two-night stay at this charming hotel. The staff was friendly and professional, with special recognition to Lahiru, who treated his customers with great care. He was very helpful and always had a smile on his face. The food was delicious, fresh, and of high quality. Our room was comfortable and clean. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. Latheena Resort is a nice spot for a short beach getaway. Upon our arrival, the staff greeted us with chilled orange juice, which was a refreshing welcome in the heat. In our room, we found water and glasses stocked in the fridge. The room was tidy, the bed was cozy, and the staff were always ready to help when we needed assistance. A standout feature is the fantastic Fujisan restaurant located within the resort. It essentially combines a hotel experience with a great dining option right next to a beautiful beach, making everything very convenient. While it’s not a high-end resort, it doesn’t aim to be. Rather, it provides a clean, comfortable, and ideally located place to unwind for a few days.

This is a great restaurant with delicious food! I really appreciated the waitstaff; they were very friendly and accommodating. I'd suggest coming here on an empty stomach!

We've enjoyed a fantastic stay for three years in a row. The staff is warm and friendly, treating us like family. The food is consistently delicious, and the menu is extensive. Our rooms are clean and spacious, complete with fresh towels and bedding. The restaurant/hotel has direct access to the beach, where they offer drinks, cocktails, and nice wine. Everything was wonderful! The laid-back atmosphere of the hotel allows for relaxation, and being right by the beach is a big plus. You can also take surfing lessons with Sithu and Sahan, making it a safe and enjoyable environment for kids. I definitely recommend this place, but make sure to book early since it gets busy during the high season— and for good reason! Looking forward to next year!
