I spent two nights at Scenic Bay Weligama and had a truly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere is serene and tranquil, plus it's just a brief stroll to the beach. I opted for an ocean-view room, which was roomy, spotless, and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and the rooftop bar provided a lovely place to unwind in the evenings. The owner is genuinely kind, and the staff were consistently helpful and friendly during my visit. All in all, it was a very good experience and absolutely worth it if you're seeking a peaceful retreat in Weligama.

Scenic Bay is ideally situated near Weligama, Ahangama, and Mirissa, making it easy to explore the area. The service is outstanding, with all the staff being very attentive and quick to address our needs. A special shoutout to Waruni for assisting us with all our requests. The rooftop restaurant offers fantastic views, and more importantly, the breakfast we had was delicious. The rooms are quite standard, nothing extravagant, but honestly, you don’t need anything more. All amenities like the AC, kettle, and hot water were functioning well.

This is the best hotel for the price in Weligama. We found it quite challenging to locate a decent hotel in Sri Lanka where you actually get what you pay for, and this one is a fantastic find! The rooms are clean, free of insects, and have warm water with strong shower pressure. Room service is available, and the breakfast is outstanding, though it is a bit slow and coffee isn't included. I would definitely book here again and recommend it to others!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The rooms are top-notch in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast was tasty, and the service from both the restaurant and reception staff was impressive. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are excellent as well—clean with strong water pressure and hot water available. However, I do have a couple of complaints. Firstly, the description on booking.com is misleading; it claims the hotel is "beachfront," but it's actually a 10-15 minute walk to the beach. We booked "deluxe sea view" rooms, but two of them didn’t offer any view of the sea, and in the third, we only caught a distant glimpse of a small patch of water. From the balcony, we mostly saw neighboring houses, some of which are construction sites. That's why I've rated the location a three. It’s a shame because our overall stay was very good otherwise. It’s frustrating that the booking.com description is phrased that way, as we were expecting to be right on the beach but were not.

We had a wonderful time here. The place was spotless, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. It truly ranks among our top experiences in Sri Lanka. We felt a bit down when it was time to check out. Even after moving on to Ahangama, we found ourselves returning. The rooftop lounge area is lovely and inviting. The food was simply delicious. We could have easily stayed for a few weeks.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay, which I ended up extending to a full week. The rooms are cozy, the staff is friendly, and the food at the rooftop café is among the best in the area. We had a great time during our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, featuring modern furnishings. The only minor issue was having to carry our luggage up a few stairs if the staff wasn’t around, but help was always available if needed. The location was decent, just a 5-minute walk to the main road where tuk tuks are readily accessible, or you can rent a bike. Also, Mirissa is only a 15-minute walk away.
