We enjoyed a wonderful three-night stay here during our family backpacking trip. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and by the end of our visit, we truly felt like part of their family. The food was delicious as well, although we came during the off-season, so the complete menu wasn't available…

The beach is directly across from the hotel. There are only a few parking spots available on-site, but they come at no cost. The area is surrounded by numerous restaurants and spas. Breakfast here is quite good! 👍👍

This hotel has a warm and inviting atmosphere, located directly on the beach. Just a quick walk across the street and you’re at the ocean. Our room was spacious, well-maintained, and tidy. The service was outstanding, with the staff being very attentive. We enjoyed a wonderful and tasty Sri Lankan buffet in the evening!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Weligama Ocean Breeze. The location is fantastic, situated directly across from the main beach and just a short walk to various cafes and restaurants. The rooms were both comfortable and tidy, the staff were excellent, and the food served at the restaurant was delightful.

We had a pleasant experience in a deluxe double and triple room on the second floor, boasting a sea view. The rooms were tidy, the beds were cozy, and the air conditioning functioned well. The bathrooms were modern with warm showers, although the water pressure could have been better. Even though the coast road is busy, the rooms were well soundproofed, and we hardly noticed the noise with the balcony door shut. There wasn’t a kettle or tea and coffee provided in the rooms, but the mini bar had reasonably priced drinks. The pool and gardens at the back were well-maintained, and the pool features a 2-meter deep end, which our teenage kids really enjoyed. Breakfast was good, and the service throughout our stay was friendly and efficient. There’s construction happening on the plot behind, but it didn’t disrupt our visit. The location is ideal, right across from the surfing area of the beach, and conveniently close to upscale hotels, the ‘Kai Beach Club’ near the Marriott, and several cafes just a few minutes away.

I chose this hotel after seeing many positive reviews, but I was let down. Before my arrival, I upgraded my room because I read that the WiFi was unreliable unless you were in a deluxe room. However, I wouldn’t call my room deluxe at all compared to others I’ve stayed in.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with effective air conditioning. The complimentary breakfast is quite decent. The pool area is excellent for unwinding. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel managers went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. This hotel is ideally located for surfers and is near some good dining options.
