I can't recommend this place enough. We visited Mirissa for a weekend getaway, and the Surf Sea Breeze hotel offered everything we needed for a truly relaxing and peaceful experience. The hotel room was large and featured the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.

We visited the restaurant today for a Christmas dinner and they had a Christmas BBQ. Unfortunately, both the fish platter and the beef were served cold. Even after requesting a replacement, the new dishes were just as cold, which the waitress confirmed. I ended up sending everything back and didn't eat at all. Not exactly a festive Christmas dinner experience...

Terrible experience! Do not trust them! They lied to my face and canceled last minute when I arrived. It felt like a scam. Management had promised multiple bookings throughout the season after three separate meetings at the location, but then they canceled on 12 guests arriving that day. They pulled out right before, showing no consideration for guests who had just flown in from a long flight, or for the disruption they caused. Unprofessional, unreliable, and impossible to trust with your plans. If your booking, business, or event relies on dependable commitments, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking elsewhere for a reliable service. This place is not it.

This hotel is truly wonderful, located in an ideal spot by the beach. It's away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a quick stroll along the beach or path leads you to numerous fantastic dining options. The staff is extremely accommodating, and the pool is spacious and well-maintained. Plus, the breakfast is fantastic, offering a wide variety of choices.

I hesitated to share my thoughts, but our checkout experience was quite negative. The hotel was unclean, and nothing in our room functioned properly. Also, beware of the tuk tuk driver near the hotel. It felt like a tuk tuk mafia; they tried to charge us double the price, and when our ride arrived, the driver began yelling at him. The hotel manager seemed to support this behavior, so if you're looking to encounter people who are out to scam you, this is the place to go!

This hotel boasts the best position along the entire beach. Admittedly, the rocky beach right in front is mainly frequented by experienced surfers. However, a quick 100-meter walk to the left leads to a much better beach. The location is fantastic, offering a quieter atmosphere compared to most nearby hotels, hostels, and restaurants. The pool is lovely, the food surpasses expectations, and the prices are reasonable. Additionally, the staff was extremely friendly.

This lovely place features some really nice rooms equipped with mosquito nets, and everything was kept clean and organized. The view is simply breathtaking, and the pool is a great addition, offering both a shallow area for kids and a deeper section. There’s also a pool bar and the staff are very welcoming. We encountered a minor issue with booking.com upon arrival, but the staff quickly resolved it and guided us to our rooms, demonstrating excellent hospitality. Although we only stayed for one night, we took full advantage of the facilities from the moment we arrived until check-out. The breakfast, which was included, was very tasty — definitely not like what you find in many other hotels in Sri Lanka. It had a more tourist-friendly, European style. You can access the pool and other amenities for a fee of 1500 rupees, but we chose not to use that option.

I just spent five nights at Surf, Sea Breeze Mirissa. While the hotel is somewhat outdated, I really couldn't find any major faults with it, to be honest. It's located at a quieter corner of the beach, away from the busyness of the restaurants on the main beach, and the surf spot was...
