    Great location but poor service

Aside from its stunning location and the dog, nearly everything else was disappointing! The service was lacking, with rude staff at checkout. The bathroom had no toiletries, there was no water available in the room, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close, among other issues. I can't recommend this place to anyone.

    Pleasant Stay at Seashore Mirissa

I really enjoyed my time at Seashore Mirissa, and my experience was quite different from some of the negative reviews I had read prior to my visit. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly during my stay. My room was clean, and both the electricity and air conditioning worked well, ensuring my comfort. I stayed in a back cottage without a view, but I found it to be peaceful and quiet, which I truly appreciated. The beach is just a short walk away, and there's a nice restaurant on the premises, which was very convenient. On the day of my departure, I had an evening flight, and the staff kindly stored my luggage for me all day. They even let me use a bathroom and provided a fresh towel before I headed to the airport, which was a really thoughtful touch. All in all, I had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Seashore Mirissa, and I would definitely recommend it, especially for those seeking a quiet location near the beach.

    Disappointing Experience with Service

I stayed here yesterday after booking through my travel agent. The food service was terrible; they advertised Indian cuisine but served us pancakes, claiming they were dosai. The curries tasted like leftovers. When our agent reached out to discuss the issue, the staff were incredibly rude, which led us to change our accommodation. This was completely unacceptable! There were over a dozen people downstairs chatting, yet they couldn't provide us with decent meals. To top it off, the shower didn't even have a proper drain, just a hole in the wall. It’s clear that management has recently changed, and it really shows. I hope they find better staff who understand the importance of customer respect and service. For now, I’d recommend avoiding this place as it feels like a tourist trap!

    Disappointing Room Conditions

The rooms don’t match the quality shown in the photos. Both the room and bathroom were unclean, and the walls had cracks that allowed ants and cockroaches to enter. The overall cleanliness of the communal areas was similarly poor. The advertisements imply that the hotel is right on the beach, but that’s misleading; it’s actually located across the road from the beach and next to a stagnant river. A seasoned backpacker might manage in this room, but for the price, we’ve experienced much better accommodations. The staff were friendly and courteous, and we opted not to file a complaint, choosing instead to leave a day early.

    Disappointing service ruins stay

The location is pleasant if you choose a sea view room. However, the room service leaves much to be desired. Calls go unanswered, and the towels were quite dirty, with small hairs on them. Additionally, there was no water in the taps. When we attempted to reach out for help, nobody responded. We wanted to go whale watching and asked if they could prepare our breakfast, but the staff outright refused. They said they couldn't provide breakfast or pack any food for us. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It could ruin your vacation.

Great stay with a beautiful view

The view from my room was fantastic. The rooms were tidy and cozy. The beach is just a short walk across the street, and everything you need is nearby. I highly recommend this place. The staff were incredibly friendly and willing to help. Don't hesitate to ask them if you have any questions.

During our stay, we encountered flying cockroaches in the room both days, which was quite unpleasant. Many bugs managed to enter through the balcony door. On the second day, we also experienced a power outage. Additionally, the roof isn't insulated, so we could hear squirrels jumping and running around all night long.

    Convenient location with friendly service

The hotel is well-situated near restaurants, shops, and the beach. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and my wife appreciated the greenery in the area. Our room was quite nice, equipped with towels, toilet paper, and tea & coffee making facilities, plus a warm shower. The bed was comfortable enough, though my wife found it a bit high to climb onto! There's also an onsite restaurant. However, when it was time to check out in the morning, we had a hard time finding someone to assist us and ended up letting ourselves out through the gates.
