Excellent online learning experience at Sage

I enrolled at Sage Institute in October 2023 to pursue IAS Edexcel entirely online, without attending traditional classes. The fees were quite reasonable for four 2-hour group sessions each month. I studied three subjects: Accounting, Business, and Economics. Both Sir and Teacher were incredibly kind and supportive. My initial session was complimentary, which was helpful since I joined after the usual June start time and had missed some syllabus content. They organized extra classes at no extra charge to help me catch up, which was a great advantage. Additionally, they provided all textbooks electronically for free. I really appreciate their teaching approach. They break down concepts in an easily digestible way and address all questions thoroughly. Classes were held via Google Meet. They first covered concepts on Google Jamboard and then directed us to the corresponding textbook sections to clarify any doubts. In Accounting, Sir first tackled the challenging questions and assigned more practice questions during our sessions to assess our understanding. He also offered his own extra tutorials with additional practice. I had previously learned Accounting for O/L but never took the IGCSE exam because I found it confusing. Sir clarified debits and credits exceptionally well, transforming Accounting from a subject I disliked into one of my favorites. For Business, Sir provided mind maps and occasionally contacted us on WhatsApp with verbal questions to reinforce the material. Teacher explained graphs in Economics very effectively. As the IAS exams drew near, they offered numerous free extra classes for past paper discussions and syllabus coverage. However, the syllabus completion was delayed, which affected my time management and created some challenges during the exam. Nevertheless, I achieved high marks, prompting me to continue with Sage Institute for IA2. IA2 went well too. The fees remained unchanged, but class durations increased by 30 minutes, which I appreciated. Since Google Jamboard was retired in 2024, they switched to using Microsoft PowerPoint as a whiteboard during Google Meet, which was a clever solution. The Accounting content became more challenging during IA2, but Sir managed to simplify complex questions clearly. Although he didn’t offer extra tutorials this time, he thoroughly explained every question, worked through examples in the textbook, and suggested the MyStudyBro website for additional practice. He finished the syllabus three months early, giving me ample opportunity to practice difficult topics and enhance my time management, leading to high marks in Accounting for IA2. Business explanations were satisfactory overall. My main concern was that some concepts in Unit 4 were oversimplified, which affected my marks there. However, the other units were well-explained, and the syllabus was completed on time. Sir provided feedback on most of the Business essays I submitted during the online sessions. One small issue was that they could be quite busy, and responses to WhatsApp messages sometimes took hours. The Economics diagrams were more challenging in IA2, but Teacher explained them thoroughly. However, she was late in finishing the syllabus and canceled several classes, which made her scheduling a bit inconsistent. Still, I managed to achieve great results. When I needed to delay payments, both Sir and Teacher were supportive and allowed me to continue attending classes. Many other institutions would have turned me away, but they were patient and understanding. I made my payments as soon as I was able. In summary, I wholeheartedly recommend Sage Institute’s online classes to all students, particularly for Accounting, where the teaching is truly outstanding.

Supportive and Effective Learning Environment

I had an excellent learning experience thanks to the incredibly kind and considerate teachers. They were always willing to re-explain things if I had questions or didn't fully grasp a lesson. Additionally, they made complex concepts easier to understand, which is a big help for many students. With their encouragement and support, I've achieved satisfactory results!
