    Great Value and Service at Savana

    I dined at Savana Restaurant on April 17, 2025, marking my second visit. Overall, the food was tasty and definitely worth the price. Some dishes were slightly oily, but they still had good flavor. The table setup was decent, albeit a bit cramped. On the plus side, the restaurant was very clean and well-kept. I also appreciated the customer service; the staff were courteous and attentive. I would recommend it for a casual meal if you're nearby!

    Disappointed with Food Quality

    As a long-time customer since 2012, I noticed that the rice has lost its flavor. They used to serve basmati rice, but now they’ve switched to ponni samba and raised their prices. This will be my last visit, and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. It seems like they’re prioritizing profit over food quality and hygiene.

    Delicious Biriyani and Great Service

    The food here is incredibly tasty. Their Biriyani truly captures an authentic flavor that all biriyani enthusiasts must try, as the flavor in the rice and the accompanying side dishes are exceptional. The portion sizes are quite generous, easily allowing two adults to share. The service is excellent and prompt. Overall, it offers great value for the money.

    Disappointing value and service

    We've been loyal customers for quite some time, but the value we receive has noticeably declined. We ordered a Chicken Sawan for 11,000 LKR and were reassured over the phone that the portions would be suitable for six adults. While the rice was adequate, the chicken, curries, and especially the dessert were a significant disappointment. Despite being told that the Watalappan would serve six people, we only received three tiny pieces. Given the premium price, this felt like a complete lack of value. To make matters worse, when we called to address this, the staff insisted that this was the standard portion for six adults. Providing just three small dessert pieces for a full meal meant for six is unacceptable and reflects poorly on a restaurant of this reputation. We feel cheated and won't be returning anytime soon.

    Superb Lunch at Savannah Restaurant

    I recently had an exceptional lunch at Savannah Restaurant in Wattala, and the experience was fantastic from beginning to end! The food was of excellent quality. I chose the chicken omelet, which was perfectly cooked – fluffy, flavorful, and well-sized. You could really appreciate the freshness of the ingredients. The way the food was presented was also impressive, and it came to our table hot and ready to savor. The ambiance is lovely; it's calm, serene, and creates a relaxing environment ideal for enjoying a leisurely meal. The interior design is appealing and comfortable. I was particularly struck by the spaciousness – there's ample room for large groups, easily accommodating 10 or more people, making it perfect for family gatherings, birthday parties, or corporate lunches. Another nice touch is the pub they have, which allows you to unwind with a drink after a long day or enjoy some beverages alongside your meal. The location is quite remarkable too. Even though it's in a busy part of Wattala, Savannah feels like a tranquil retreat. It’s fantastic to find such a well-kept spot amidst all the chaos. The staff were friendly and attentive during our visit. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a relaxing spot to hang out with friends. You won't regret it!
