Fantastic Customer Service Experience
I had a wonderful experience with the customer service at this Vijitha Yapa Bookshop location. I was looking for a specific book that was nearly out of print, and they managed to track it down from another store and had it ready for me within a day. The staff members were very friendly. Thank you!

Helpful staff but limited book availability
The staff were extremely well trained and very helpful. I couldn't locate the book I was searching for, so I went to the checkout counter and showed the girl a photo of the dust jacket on my phone. She confirmed they didn't have the book in stock without even checking their database. I'm unsure if they offer special orders for unavailable titles.

Great Bookshop for Sri Lanka Souvenirs
I was referred to this bookshop by The Expographic Bookshop in Havenlock Mall while searching for a coffee table picture book about Sri Lanka. It was thoughtful of them to assist me in my search. My top choice was "Sigiriya" by Senake Bandaranayake, a well-known historian from Sri Lanka. The staff here were incredibly friendly and patiently addressed all my questions. They even took the time to share insights about Sri Lankan history. It was wonderful to meet staff members who are so enthusiastic about their country's heritage. If you’re on the lookout for beautiful coffee table books, this is the place to go. They have a solid selection. I highly recommend the book I purchased, "Sigiriya" for Rs400 (unfortunately, it's sold out in many places in Colombo). I also found "Sri Lanka - A Mystical Journey" at Granbell Hotel, which makes for a great souvenir (just a heads up, it’s a hardcover and quite heavy). Happy book hunting!❤️
