    Extremely rude staff

I contacted the hospital today seeking information about a VOG, as my mother is in critical condition due to medical negligence in Italy. The staff were incredibly rude, even hanging up on me while I was still speaking. When I asked for the names of any doctors, they didn't respond at all. We deserve respect, and we're not here to be treated poorly.

    Disappointing Service and Environment

I was extremely let down by the service here. The nurses and attendants were quite rude, and the overall atmosphere felt very unprofessional, at times even degrading and unpleasant. The surgical environment was lacking professionalism, with trainees making mistakes that caused significant discomfort for the patients. Immediate action is needed to ensure that this place meets quality standards.

Exceptional Care from Dr. Atapattu and Team

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Harsha Atapattu and his team, along with all the nurses and supporting staff, for their presence from admission to discharge during my surgery. I have immense respect for their commitment and care, especially towards patients like myself. They have my heartfelt blessings. I genuinely admire this hospital, and Dr. Harsha Atapattu is truly an asset to our country. I appreciate everything!

    Staff Good, Facilities Lacking

While the staff is friendly, the facilities leave much to be desired. The bathroom slab is propped up with jacks, and the windows won't close properly. Dust accumulates on patients' beds, and the space between beds is merely one foot. Birds and crows often come to the window, leaving behind dirt. At the very least, there should be curtains. Additionally, patients are not allowed to bring their own pillows, which is problematic for those who need extra support during pregnancy. I urge the administration to address these issues.

Memorable Birth Experience at Government Hospital

This is where I was born, and also the birthplace of my third little princess, Hafizha, on August 18, 2020. Those days were truly unforgettable. My wife was admitted on August 16, 2020, delivered our baby on the 18th, and we were discharged on the 20th. On the first day, she didn't get a bed because the 3rd Ward was overcrowded. I am very grateful to the doctors, nurses, ward attendants, and cleaners. The 3rd Ward, managed by Nolimit, is kept very clean and tidy. I must mention that this is a government hospital, so all treatments are free of charge, but there are fewer staff members available to assist all the patients. You shouldn't expect the same level of service as in a private hospital; compromises are necessary. Parking is not available, and only one visitor can receive a token for three visits a day. The hospital provides meals for patients, but we are also allowed to bring our own food.

    Nostalgic Visit to the Hospital

On November 30, 2023, I visited this hospital with my siblings and my co-sister, who was born here in 1958, during our vacation in Sri Lanka. We wanted to see the hospital again, and for my co-sister, it was a nostalgic moment after having moved to the USA decades ago. It was a special experience for all of us, and we took pictures from the outside to capture the moment.

    Exceptional Care at Soysa Hospital

I want to thank Mrs. Karunarathankthna at the Soysa Hospital lab. She is incredibly professional and provided me with invaluable advice regarding our pregnancy that I genuinely appreciate. The service was efficient, but her kindness and guidance stood out the most. Five stars for her outstanding care!
