Regrettably, the ward lacks adequate facilities for heart patients. While the staff delivers highly efficient service, the government's provisions fall short of what is needed.

The cardiology department at NHSL boasts some of the most skilled resident and attending cardiologists in Sri Lanka. They have an effective information and feedback system in place, along with an impressive survival rate. Their state-of-the-art PCI coronary lab operates around the clock to ensure the best possible care for heart patients.

The management here is extremely poor. They irresponsibly made patients fast for an entire day, claiming they needed to prepare for an angiogram. Some patients had to go without food for nearly 22 hours, including those with diabetes. This kind of management could lead to serious health issues, like cardiac attacks. I'm utterly disappointed.

The Cardiology Unit at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka is truly commendable, offering top-notch medical services for patients with heart issues. Based on my experience, I can confidently say it ranks among the best in the nation. Equipped with cutting-edge facilities and technology, the unit ensures accurate diagnosis and treatment of heart-related conditions. The staff members are not only highly trained and skilled but also committed to delivering the highest level of care. They are approachable, friendly, and always willing to address any queries from patients. A key strength of this unit is its focus on preventive care. The staff proactively educate patients on lifestyle adjustments that can lessen heart disease risk, alongside providing regular screenings and check-ups to catch potential problems early. This method significantly enhances patient outcomes and helps alleviate the overall impact of heart disease in the country. In summary, I highly recommend the Cardiology Unit at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka for anyone in search of exceptional medical care for heart conditions. The blend of advanced facilities, expert staff, and focus on prevention makes this unit an outstanding option for cardiac care.

Today, my mother had her appointment at the clinic, and the whole procedure was absolutely chaotic. They really need to be more organized and avoid making patients wait. Once the doctor completes the check-up, it would be helpful to have the next appointment scheduled right away instead of leaving patients waiting for hours until they get their next date. It's important not to waste patients' time.

The nurse was dismissive and displayed an unprofessional demeanor. As a taxpayer, I believe public healthcare employees should treat patients with respect.

For being a government hospital I’m impressed with their service and nice staff. Maybe parking can be an issue
