I spent three nights here while heading to Jaffna. The location by the lagoon is stunning, especially during sunset. It's a great place to stop for transit, explore wildlife, soak in the culture, or simply relax. My room had an en-suite, but I believe some rooms may not have that feature.

I visited this hotel for an official trip in January 2024. The cleanliness of the place is impressive, and the furnishings are quite nice. The swimming pool looks pristine and very inviting. Although I was initially worried about possible traffic noise, I didn't experience any disruptions during my stay. After spending one night there, I found it to be a tranquil spot that I would recommend to others. Its central location in Puttlam town makes it convenient to access various amenities. The service was also quite good.

My family and friends spent two nights at Monsoon Villa during our New Year holiday. I was really taken with the bungalow's architecture and its collection of antique furniture. The property features a very clean pool and a beautifully maintained garden with Australian grass. We enjoyed breakfast from the menu, which was quite tasty, and the staff went out of their way to prepare various snacks we requested throughout our stay. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms boast elegant designs with unique architecture. The bungalow offers complete privacy and is perfect for groups of friends or families looking to enjoy some quality time together. I can't wait to return to Monsoon Villa.

The food was excellent, and Chef Suneth truly did his part well. We had a family gathering for two nights, with 25 people attending. The place was very comfortable and felt homely. We've visited many times before, and we absolutely love it here.

The mansion is stunning, beautifully restored and filled with lovely artifacts. It comfortably hosted 25 people. However, the staff could benefit from training in table setting, beverage service, and clearing tables.

The rooms are cozy and the location is great, making it a convenient spot. However, I feel it's not worth the price. They should at least provide water bottles and tea and coffee supplies in the room.
