Exceptional Stay at Kings Ridge Hotel

Our experience at Kings Ridge Hotel in Kandy was outstanding. The staff, led by manager Susil and receptionist Hamaan, was remarkable. During our visit in November 2025, when a cyclone hit, they took exceptional care of us. They kept us well-informed, ensured we felt safe, and went above and beyond to assist us in a very unusual circumstance. The food at the restaurant was tasty, and the rooms were spacious, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. We also enjoyed the stunning view from the hotel, and the city center of Kandy was just a short tuk-tuk ride away, which was very convenient. The team assisted us with all our arrangements, organized drivers, and continued to offer helpful information even after our stay. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a significant impact. We wholeheartedly recommend Kings Ridge Hotel and would return at any time without a second thought. Thank you to the entire team for the fantastic stay and your amazing support!

Great stay with excellent service

We had an incredible time! The service was top-notch throughout our visit, and the location was fantastic, just a short walk to the town. Our rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and I was particularly impressed with how well the hot water shower worked—very dependable, along with the strong wifi. Overall, I have no complaints, just positive things to say. I would definitely recommend this place and will keep it in mind for our next trip. A huge thank you to all the staff for their hard work!

Mixed Experience Due to Staff Attitude

My experience at this hotel was somewhat disappointing, primarily because of one senior staff member who seemed to be a manager. This older gentleman was unfriendly and occasionally spoke in a condescending way, which made our stay quite uncomfortable. It often felt like he was uninterested in helping guests or properly addressing any issues. On a brighter note, the young receptionist was courteous and performed his duties well, which we appreciated. The room itself was decent, and the cleanliness of the bathrooms and overall premises was well-maintained. Nevertheless, we were informed that all the rooms were fully booked, although we had our doubts about that. Additionally, the air conditioning in our room wasn't working properly and needed some adjustments from us. While the facilities were satisfactory, the negative impact of that one staff member's poor attitude and service significantly affected our overall experience.

Great stay with talented staff

This hotel offers a pleasant experience, highlighted by its fantastic staff. I want to give a special mention to Mr. Suraj Obeyesekera, as he is an incredibly talented artist. The vibrant acrylic painting of an elephant in the dining area is his work. The location is quite lovely as well. The food, including breakfast, is also very good. We enjoyed a lovely two-night stay.

Comfortable Stay at King Ridge Hotel

I stayed at King Ridge Hotel, and it was definitely worth the price. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making for a very enjoyable stay. Breakfast was basic, but for the price, it was completely satisfactory. Nothing extravagant, but it did the job. I want to highlight the receptionist; she was very friendly and helpful, even accommodating our request to switch to a room with a better view, which we truly appreciated. That kind of service can really make a difference. In summary, it's a fantastic budget-friendly choice with excellent service and cozy rooms. TIP: When calling a taxi, let them know the hotel is 150 meters past the viewpoint, or they might get a bit confused 😄 I would recommend this place to anyone seeking a good stay without spending too much. 👍

Great location and views

I selected this hotel for its peaceful location, away from the hustle of central Kandy, and for the views it offers. It's only a straightforward 25-minute downhill walk to the lakeside. The staff were fantastic, and the meals were enjoyable. The views were also great.

Perfect Venue for Private Events

This venue is fantastic for private gatherings! We recently managed the full AV production, sound system, and DJ services for the 2019 Kandy nursing students' reunion at this lovely location. It’s the perfect spot for small private or corporate events hosting 20 to 30 guests. The food was tasty, and the staff were really friendly—big thanks to the team for their outstanding catering. The ambiance of the venue complemented our services and music beautifully. I highly recommend it for intimate occasions in Kandy! 🙌

Exceptional hospitality and comfort

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. It's honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed. The staff are very friendly, professional, and always ready to assist.
