    Fantastic beachfront dining experience

    This charming spot sits right on the beachfront. We were fortunate to have the best seats in the house, with a direct view of the sea. The service was prompt, and the food and cocktails were of excellent quality! The cocktails featured fresh ingredients and weren't overly sweetened. My fried rice was delightful, and it paired well with my cocktail. Both my partner and I received generous portions at a very reasonable price!

    Delicious beachside dining experience

    This charming little restaurant is located right by the beach. On one occasion, we tried the seafood platter, and on another night, we opted for the Sri Lankan curry. Both dishes were fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch. Enjoying dinner while listening to the sound of the waves made for very pleasant evenings in Hikkaduwa.

    Fantastic beachside gem

    This is a really cool little place right on the beach. There are only a few tables, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours. The fish platter was amazing; it takes about 40 minutes to prepare, but the wait is worth it, and you can enjoy the view while you wait. I also had a prawn curry with coconut roti, which was equally delicious. In total, we spent just £20 for two people. The staff were lovely as well. I highly recommend this spot.

    Charming beachfront dining experience

    This cozy spot right by the water was a lovely choice. We enjoyed sitting at the bench with a view of the beach and the waves rolling in. The atmosphere was pleasant, though it might not be ideal for larger groups. We ordered the chicken and shrimp burrito bowls, and the chicken bowl was fantastic, with each element bursting with flavor. The shrimp bowl was good too, but it didn't quite match the excellence of the chicken option.

    Great kottu in a unique setting

    During our stay, we dined at this restaurant several times because of its great location and their outstanding cheese and chicken kottu, which was the best we tried in Hikkaduwa. The restaurant is quite unique, built on wooden columns over the ocean, allowing you to enjoy the views and sounds of the water while you eat lunch.

    Exceptional Dinner by the Water

    We had an amazing dinner here. It's only our second day in Sri Lanka, but this charming restaurant has raised the bar for the rest of our trip. We came in for an early dinner and managed to snag the best seat, right by the water. The chicken poke bowl was outstanding with fantastic flavors, and the chicken kottu was equally tasty. The staff were very welcoming, and we would highly recommend this place to everyone! Thanks, team!

    Delicious Avocado Dishes and Mocktails

    We strongly recommend the freshly made dishes featuring avocado: the salad, the bowl, and even a dessert. Everything is incredibly tasty! Additionally, we enjoyed the mocktails (buy three, get one free from 6 to 9 pm) and the fantastic setting that offers a safe view of the waves crashing nearby.

    This was our first experience with Kottu, and it turned out to be the best one we had during our three weeks in Sri Lanka! It was incredibly flavorful with an excellent texture. The service was outstanding, and the views were fantastic as well!

    A Perfect End to Our Holiday

    On our final day in Sri Lanka, we stumbled upon a gem – Ocean Drop Hikkaduwa. It was the most wonderful way to wrap up our vacation. ❤️🇱🇰🇨🇿 Throughout our time in Sri Lanka, we tried many eateries, but this cozy spot was a delightful surprise on our last day. The food was simply amazing – fresh, skillfully prepared, and bursting with flavor. We also enjoyed the fresh juices, cocktails, and fruit smoothies, which not only tasted great but were also beautifully presented. The staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and attentive. From the moment we walked in, we felt truly appreciated, and the laid-back vibe enhanced our experience. It's a real pity we only discovered this place on our last day. Had we found it earlier, we would have come back repeatedly. Thanks to the entire team for such a fantastic experience. We wish you lots of happy customers and strongly recommend Ocean Drop Hikkaduwa to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.
