The generous portions (the dish in the photo was just for one person) are offered at a fair price in a tidy and inviting family-owned restaurant. We enjoyed both of our dinners here during our stay in the area!

I enjoyed the best sambols along with rice and curry at this place. The owner was incredibly welcoming, and his daughter, who runs a small café just across the street, assisted me with my order. The food is genuinely authentic Sri Lankan and offered at a very reasonable price.

The lovely daughter of the restaurant speaks English, and we enjoyed some delicious local dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. Everything was freshly prepared, simple, and genuine—absolutely no complaints, just praise. This is definitely our favorite restaurant in Katharagama. Thank you!

The customer service from the cashier was terrible. Save yourself the trouble and don't bother coming here. It feels like a fake job. Now I have a stomach ache. They also charge more than you can eat. I definitely do not recommend this place. Avoid it; there are much better options out there.

I stopped by a place called "The Chill" near Ruhunu Bakery in Kataragama, and it was a really bad experience. The food prices were outrageously high, and while I might have accepted that if the quality had been decent, the food was both lacking in quality and quantity, making it hard to justify the cost. When I asked about the pricing, I found out that the amount quoted was even more than what I had initially been told. If you're considering a visit to this shop, I highly recommend you think twice—or even a hundred times—before you go.
