Consistent with my experiences in NE, most spas tend to be overpriced or underwhelming in terms of service and quality, feeling more like traps than anything special.

Sri Lanka has some outstanding spas, but unfortunately, this isn't one of them. It's overpriced, and although the staff were friendly, they lacked proper training.

Finding the place was a bit tricky, but it was definitely worth it! Satchi provided a delightful and invigorating body and head massage. Her expertise was evident, and the steam bath at the end was exactly what I needed.

While the massage itself was decent, the level of professionalism left much to be desired. The two masseuses didn't step out of the room for us to change, which felt quite awkward. My partner had a male masseur, and I had a female, who didn't provide any privacy when she asked me to turn over. When I did turn, I noticed there was no towel covering me and saw the male worker looking. After I requested a towel, I finally received one to cover my chest, but he still didn't leave the room after the massage, making it uncomfortable. I had to wrap the towel around me just to get to the bathroom to change. Additionally, the massage beds were uncomfortable and lacked a hole for your head, which resulted in a sore neck. My partner also mentioned that his masseuse had very dry, calloused hands, which made his massage far from relaxing. I would suggest avoiding this place.

The rooms were not hygienic at all. The shower area was dirty. I experienced a lot of discomfort because the bed didn't seem to have been washed recently. I felt like I was making a donation just by staying there.

There's no option for a "0" star rating. - The rooms are shabby. - What was promised to take an hour was finished in just 20 minutes. - There’s no attached bathroom, and the instant geyser leaks colored water. - When I complained about the slippery bathroom, the receptionist, who also acts as the manager, responded rudely, saying, "soap slips" with a laugh. - The steam room wasn’t working, but the receptionist insisted we pay 2000 LKR for it, which was ineffective and smelled like LPG or some other fuel—definitely dangerous. - They had only one steam therapist on duty, who started the massage without any approval and didn’t even know how to spell the word. - The list of issues could go on. These people tarnish Sri Lanka's reputation with their services and high prices.
