    Unacceptable Pricing at Pharmacy

    If you're a tourist (specifically white) and plan to purchase something at this pharmacy, be ready for the medication prices to be significantly inflated. They don't display any prices. When we were informed of the cost, we found it quite steep, but the clerk noticed our hesitation and started to lower the price gradually. This was my first experience with haggling in a PHARMACY, which is completely unacceptable. I recommend steering clear of this place and searching for pharmacies that display their prices clearly.

    Avoid this pharmacy for fair pricing

    The staff were unfriendly. I wouldn't suggest this pharmacy if you're a tourist and not aware of the local medication prices, as they attempted to charge me four times the usual cost. Luckily, I was aware of the correct price and chose to go to another pharmacy instead. It's disappointing to experience such behavior in Sri Lanka, where the locals are generally so kind...

    Disappointing experience with pharmacy purchase

    I recently bought two packs of Cetirizine and a Decon Nose Drop from New Daya Pharmacy because my wife urgently needed them. We went to the pharmacy sometime between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM on October 11, 2024 (the exact time escapes me). After purchasing, we returned to our accommodation since we were on holiday and didn’t use the medication immediately. In the middle of the night, we needed the Decon Nose Drop, but to our shock, we found a used bottle inside the box. The pipette that should have been included was missing, and the seal on the bottle was broken. It was evident that we had received a previously used product, which is simply unacceptable. The following morning, on October 12, 2024, I went back to the pharmacy to return the used item and get a replacement. However, the store was closed even at around 9:00 - 9:30 AM. I tried again between 10:00 and 11:00 AM, but it was still not open. I strongly recommend that anyone, including foreigners, check products thoroughly before leaving this pharmacy. It’s disheartening to encounter such dishonesty. I had always thought that Tamil people were known for their integrity, but this experience left me feeling quite let down.
