Our experience at Sea Breeze restaurant was quite disappointing. The food quality was lacking, as we discovered chicken bones in the fried rice. The soups were presented in plastic cups. Additionally, hand wash mixed with water found in a beverage bottle reflects poorly on the restaurant’s standards and value. I've attached pictures as evidence.

I went for lunch and encountered several issues. First, we were required to climb two flights of stairs despite there being ample seating available on the ground floor. Once seated, we had to wait for the waiter to set the tablecloth, as none of the tables were prepared. This delay continued as other tables remained unset until their guests arrived, forcing them to wait as well. It took over an hour for our food to arrive after we placed our order, and the waiter didn’t mention anything about the long wait when we ordered. When our pineapple juice arrived, it came in a jar with rusty metal lids, and the juice itself was quite watery. Additionally, instead of the beef biryani I ordered, the waiter brought us prawn fried rice, stating that the biryani was sold out. He made this choice without consulting us first. The only positive aspect of the meal was that the quality of the fried rice was decent for the price.

The room prices here are excessive. In Batticaloa, you can find an A/C single room for 3500/-, but theirs costs 5000/-. On my last visit, I heard they plan to raise it to 7000/-. This is the worst pricing I've encountered at a hotel of this type.

We stayed in a non-AC room on the rooftop, and the view from up there is absolutely stunning. For lunch, we ordered naan, prawn masala, and chicken kuruma. The food was truly delicious, and we really enjoyed it.

The service was quite poor. There were about 7 to 10 families ahead of us waiting to place their orders, yet only one waiter was on duty. We waited for two hours without any waiter coming to our table. Our food didn’t arrive until three hours after we ordered. It seems there’s only one cook available. Meanwhile, they still charged a service fee of 40% to 50% despite the lack of good service.

The room was not clean, with stained bed linens and a strong, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. It definitely didn't justify the price we paid. The service was incredibly poor; the staff, including the owner, were rude and unhelpful, and the food arrived cold and poorly made. When we raised our concerns, management shouted at us to leave and told us not to return. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience.

While the rooms might be decent, the restaurant, food, and service need significant improvement. I hope these issues can be addressed to avoid future mistakes.

Launch offers really delicious food. We ordered the nasukura, which was both tasty and sizable. The seafood, BBQ, and roasted chicken are all great options. It’s a lovely place, and I really enjoyed my time there. Plus, they provide free Wi-Fi with the hotel, and the customer service is good, with easy options to place orders.
