I’m sharing this review on behalf of my friend who recently visited this hotel in Kalmunai. They had an excellent experience! The views were breathtaking, the rooms were tidy and comfortable, and the hotel's location was very convenient. The owner was exceptionally friendly and even offered to drive my friend around the area. Most importantly, it provided great value for the price. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Villa Luxez for a wedding and had a genuinely enjoyable experience. Arriving at 4:30 am after a long bus ride, we were so thankful to step into a cozy room with the AC already running—what a nice touch! The room and bathroom were immaculate, allowing us to rest soundly. The manager was exceptionally friendly and even organized transport for us to the wedding venue. I highly recommend Villa Luxez for a cozy and inviting stay!

A genuine hidden gem along Sri Lanka’s East Coast! Our experience at Villa Luxez exceeded our expectations. The rooms were tidy, spacious, and tranquil, offering lovely views of the natural surroundings. What truly distinguishes this place is the hospitality—the owner is remarkably kind, accommodating, and genuinely cares for every guest. We felt entirely at home. The setting is serene yet conveniently close to town, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice perk. You can truly sense that this place is managed with love. Villa Luxez is truly a treasure in the area, featuring clean and spacious rooms. We spent a night there while visiting Kalmunei, and it felt safe and peaceful. The owner, Mr. Fareed, excels in hospitality. The welcome drink we were served, a refreshing blend of coconut water and lemon, was one of the best I've ever had. Although the access road is a bit narrow, Mr. Fareed is there to assist and guide you throughout the journey.

We enjoyed a very friendly experience during our stay, starting with a welcoming drink. It was convenient to park our tuk tuk in the garage, and the room was tidy. Our kids felt very welcomed, as the hospitality was exceptional. Breakfast in the morning was delightful, featuring plenty of local fruit and other Sri Lankan specialties. This place is really great to visit, set amidst beautiful nature. It has a fresh and clean appearance. However, we found the bathroom completely wet upon arrival and the towels were not clean. The bedsheets, blankets, and pillowcases showed undeniable signs of not being changed, with a lot of hair present. We also experienced a lack of hot water during our night shower, there was no toilet paper, and the worst part was that there was only one plug point available, allowing us to charge just one device at a time. On the bright side, the food is quite good.

During my work trip to Kalmunai last month, I found it to be an incredibly safe place. The service was attentive and continued until I left town. I checked out in the morning and began my journey home, but unfortunately, I had a minor accident with a motorbike. The rider was aggressive and demanded more money, which made me feel scared in an unfamiliar city. I reached out to the hotel owner, Mr. Fareed, who promptly arrived at the police station after I called. He advised me to go home and assured me he would handle the situation with the rider. I departed Kalmunai, knowing he would manage everything. Mr. Fareed truly treated us like family in this strange town, offering a level of service that's hard to come by elsewhere.

I only spent one night here, but it was a wonderful experience. The beds were cozy, the towels were nice, and everything was clean and organized. The location was on a quiet street. The manager was both friendly and efficient, which contributed to my great night’s sleep before heading out in the morning. I highly recommend this place.

My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. Despite asking multiple times, we were never given bedsheets. The service left much to be desired; there were no complimentary tea or breakfast as promised, and we didn’t receive the room we were assured of. The television was unconnected, the washroom wasn’t cleaned every day, and there was no regular mopping. We spent three weeks there, but the air conditioning was uncomfortable and not effective. On the first day, they assigned me a subpar room, insisting it was the only one available. All in all, it felt like a total waste of money. The owner's attitude was unprofessional, and the hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards. I would strongly recommend others to avoid this place.
