This is a fantastic place to visit with friends, family, or for a business trip. The food was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. It's a nice venue with comfortable rooms, and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

We had reserved two rooms and made it clear that there would be four adults in each room, which was acknowledged. Upon our arrival, they confirmed this again and even let us store our luggage in the rooms. However, when we came back later, they unexpectedly stated that four adults could not stay in each room. This was incredibly unprofessional and irritating, especially after two confirmations. The receptionist did not help matters; her demeanor was rude and dismissive, showing no intent to assist or take accountability for the mix-up. Instead of addressing the issue calmly, she was unfriendly and unhelpful. After traveling and planning ahead, this sudden change and the lack of proper customer service created unnecessary stress. All in all, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel based on our treatment.

The North Way Hotel in Vavuniya is a contemporary and appealing accommodation option, located a bit outside Vavuniya town but conveniently along the A9 road near the Air Force base. The rooms are modern, spacious, and attractively decorated, providing a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The layout of the rooms promotes comfort, making it easy to unwind whether you're there for a short or extended stay. The reception team is very helpful and attentive. From check-in to check-out, they treat guests with politeness and care, always ready to address questions and provide assistance when needed. Their friendly demeanor fosters a warm and welcoming environment. I booked online, and all information was readily available and quickly accessible. The food at the hotel is enjoyable in both flavor and quality. It’s well-prepared and convenient, particularly since dining options nearby are limited. Having dependable meals on-site is a real advantage for travelers. Breakfast cost 1200 LKR, but it was a solid choice as depicted in the picture. Pricing is generally fair and reasonable when considering the services and amenities provided. However, I did purchase a Red Bull that was listed at 750 LKR, but I was charged 1300 LKR on the final bill. It would be better if similar products had consistent pricing. Such discrepancies can lead to confusion and dissatisfaction among guests. It's crucial that displayed prices correspond with the final bill or are at least reasonable. The cleanliness of the bedding and towels needs to be addressed. The bedsheets could be fresher, and the towels had visible stains that were quite off-putting. These marks are noticeable right away, and cleaner linens would significantly enhance comfort and the overall impression. The most troubling issue is the presence of ants. Small ants were spotted on the bed, table, chairs, and various surfaces. This not only creates discomfort but can also be a concern for families with babies or young children. Several other guests have reported similar issues, indicating it’s a recurring problem. Immediate pest control measures are needed to resolve this and ensure the rooms are safer and more pleasant. Despite these concerns, the hotel has many strengths. The spacious, well-decorated rooms provide a comfortable setting. The cooperative and friendly staff enhance the overall experience, and the food quality is commendable. With reasonable pricing for most services, the hotel offers good value compared to many options in the area and is a better choice when compared to their other parent hotel, ‘Nelly Star’.

The venue is quite comfortable, but the service and management showed a lack of professionalism. We experienced a minor issue with an ironing burn on the bedsheet, which resulted in a slight stain from the hot iron. They charged us 7500 for the bedsheet, which was nearly the same as the total room cost. When we questioned this, they mentioned an additional 2500 for transport. This felt very unprofessional and demonstrated a poor attitude. When we asked if this was standard practice, they had no response. Overall, it was a disappointing stay, and there was no assistance provided for carrying our bags to the rooms.

I had a fantastic experience at Northway. The rooms were quite spacious, spotless, and well-kept. The food was of excellent quality, and the service was impressive, thanks to the very friendly staff. This is definitely the best place to stay in Vavuniya.

The venue is stunning and has a wonderful atmosphere. However, the lift is a bit cramped, and there could be more focus on enhancing the flavor of the food. All in all, it's a pleasant spot for weddings.

We stopped by Hotel Northway at No. 515, Vavuniya for some tea and coffee today, arriving around 10:00 a.m. We enjoyed a cup of coffee in their spacious restaurant, which can easily accommodate large groups. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The washrooms were impressively clean, and there was plenty of parking available. All in all, it was a nice experience.

The property is beautiful, but the check-out experience left something to be desired. The requirement for a room inspection prior to guests leaving fosters an uncomfortable vibe of mistrust. This approach detracts from the overall sense of hospitality, making visitors feel more like potential wrongdoers than appreciated guests.

We had a fantastic experience and a delightful stay at the hotel. A big shoutout to Kinthushan for his exceptional service and professionalism throughout our time there. We also want to acknowledge the two female staff members who were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our visit. The food was truly delicious, with every meal cooked to perfection. The rooms were immaculate, well-kept, and very comfortable. We also participated in a wedding at the hotel, and the food served at the wedding was outstanding—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Overall, everything went beyond our expectations. Highly recommended, and we can't wait to return!
