The customer service here is extremely lacking. There's a female pharmacist who could really benefit from some training on how to treat customers better. The wait time for purchasing medications is frustratingly long. I cannot recommend this place.

This pharmacy is the absolute worst for purchasing medication. The hospital management really needs to address this issue, as I will not be returning to New Philip for doctor visits because of the pharmacy's service. I went in for a vaccine, and this marks the second time I've encountered a negative experience with them.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I've encountered in Kalutara city. The staff is inefficient, and the waiting times for medicine are excessive. If you're looking to save time, your best bet is to find another pharmacy.

The pharmacy at Philip Hospital Kalutara is incredibly sluggish. Even for just 2–3 medications, you can expect to wait at least 30 minutes. Although there are around 3–5 staff members on duty, they struggle to manage the customers effectively. I specifically want to point out the older Tamil pharmacist, who appears to lack skills in customer service. Overall, the service is very slow and customer care is lacking. I really hope the management takes steps to address this issue.

This pharmacy has the slowest service I’ve ever encountered. After I submitted my prescription, I ended up waiting an incredibly long time. The staff member who was processing my prescription called out a number for payment, but it wasn’t obvious that it was mine. I only figured it out after they repeated the number, so I paid the bill. Then, the cashier told me to wait to pick up my medicines. The whole process was agonizingly slow. I had my baby with me and stood there for what felt like forever while the staff moved at a glacial pace. Later on, another staff member called out for a specific number and asked for the token. I told them I hadn’t received a token—just verbal instructions to pay. The person who initially took my prescription insisted they had given me the token and suggested that I might have lost it. After searching, they found the token on their own desk and handed it to me. This was a very frustrating and poorly organized experience. I wouldn’t recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

This pharmacy is the worst! The customer service is lacking, and the staff seems lethargic. It feels like they believe they’re in a government hospital, where customers expect free medicine. I’m extremely disappointed. The employees here are harming the reputation of Philip Hospital.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHARMACY; IT'S DANGEROUS AND INCOMPETENT. I was given two different medications by my doctor, but this pharmacy provided me with two separate packages that had completely different medicine names on the labels. I was charged for both, and when I opened them at home, I found the same pills in each package. Identical manufacturer, strength, NDC number—everything was the same. They just put two different brand labels on the same generic medication and charged me twice. This isn't just a simple labeling mistake; it's outright fraud. They are knowingly dispensing the same drug under different names to extract more money from patients and insurance companies. If they're capable of this, what else might they be tampering with, short-filling, or substituting without informing you? This establishment poses a real risk to the community, and to top it off, their service is incredibly slow—I wasted 45 minutes just to get the same medication in two different packages.
