    Disappointing Experience All Around

The wait for our food was excessively long. They don't offer water glasses at the table, just bottled water. Additionally, the washroom facilities lack proper separation. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

    Delicious Food and Great Service

Situated on the first floor of the building, this restaurant features plenty of indoor seating with a cozy atmosphere and a dedicated bar area. However, parking can be a bit tricky to find. During our lunch visit, we were delighted by the varied menu, which includes a wide range of food and drinks. The Chicken Fried Rice we chose was incredibly tasty, and the portion sizes were generous, all at fair prices. We also appreciated the quick service, and the staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing our overall experience. We can't wait to return and try more of their dishes.

    Disappointing Lunch Experience

We visited a restaurant for lunch that initially seemed promising. When it came time to order, I repeatedly asked if the beef could be cooked medium or medium rare, and the waiter assured me multiple times that they would prepare it as I requested. I even showed him a picture of the desired doneness on my phone. However, when our food arrived, the meat was so tough that I could barely chew it. Maybe other dishes are better, but they clearly struggle with cooking beef. We chose this place primarily because they advertised a coffee machine, hoping for a proper cappuccino listed on the menu, but sadly, the waiter informed us that the coffee machine was out of order.

    Disappointing Experience with High Prices

If the owner happens to read this, please inform your kitchen staff that garlic bread shouldn't just be raw garlic chunks on toast. When I took a bite, I couldn't help but laugh. It was simply raw chopped garlic thrown onto bread, and it's definitely not worth even half the price you're charging. Overall, the food came off as quite cheap. The burgers were just fried chicken strips thrown in a bun, heavily salted and very lackluster. They certainly didn’t justify their price. The fries were soggy. Strangely, the only decent item was the side salad, which had fresh greens and a good dressing. Go figure. As for the seafood noodles? They were practically a joke. I had to search for tiny pieces of seafood—counting them on both hands—and they were so small that they hardly had any flavor. For the price, I expected real seafood, not minuscule bits that barely qualify. The drinks were equally disappointing. The papaya and passion mojitos tasted like watered-down syrup over ice. We asked for them to be remade, but the second batch was just as unappealing, lacking any real fruit flavor. The passion mojito, in particular, tasted like diluted Sprite mixed with sugar and a few seeds just for show. We informed our server about the issues; he was polite and apologized. But unless he’s the one handling the bills, what can he really do? At these prices, I wouldn’t recommend this place to friends. You're charging premium rates for fast food quality, and honestly, even a typical fast food joint does better garlic bread. It just doesn’t add up.

    Fantastic BYOB in Kalutara

This is the best BYOB place in Kalutara. The black pork is amazing; I have no complaints about the food. The staff is friendly, making it a great spot for a quick drink with friends. This is definitely my go-to place! 🙌✨

Great spot for a relaxed meal

Carabela Restaurant in Kalutara is a lovely place for a casual meal. It was nearly empty, probably due to it being a workday, which created a serene and relaxed vibe. The quality of the food was impressive. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate milkshake, which was definitely worth the price. The seafood biriyani was also flavorful, although a bit on the expensive side. All in all, it's a solid choice for dining out in Kalutara, offering good food and a nice atmosphere.

Delicious food in a central location

The food is delicious and beautifully presented 🍸. It's a great spot for a meal, although being in the city center makes parking a bit tricky. I definitely recommend this place.
