We visited this restaurant one evening and shared the seafood special platter, which was so delicious that we returned the following night. This time, we tried the Tom yum soup, garlic butter prawns, and seafood fried rice, all of which were just as tasty! It's a wonderful family-run business, and Johan along with his family were very attentive. I highly recommend dining here!

The food was bursting with amazing flavors and had a bit of spice. However, the butter and garlic jumbo shrimps are a great option if you prefer something milder; my daughter enjoyed those along with the french fries and a refreshing tomato/cucumber/ananas salad! The standout dish was definitely the house curry featuring local "para" fish. I was advised to eat it with my hands, which was a first for me, and it turned out to be the best lunch I've had in Sri Lanka—I'm pretty sure nothing can top it, but we'll see! The owner is wonderful and is more than happy to help you select the right dishes to suit your taste.

As soon as we entered Red Lobster, we were greeted with warmth and outstanding hospitality. The owner, Mr. Yohan, clearly takes pride in both the cuisine and the service, which is evident in every aspect. We tried the seafood platter, and it was truly exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each bite reminded us of how seafood should genuinely taste. The portions were generous, and the presentation was both elegant and inviting. The staff maintained a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor throughout our meal, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. If you're in search of a place that offers delicious seafood along with top-notch service, Red Lobster is the spot. I highly recommend it!

I visited this place two times back-to-back. The seafood is excellent—fresh and uncomplicated. The portions of rice, salad, and fries are quite large, so make sure you're hungry! The service is very warm and friendly, especially thanks to Yohan.

We had an amazing dinner at Red Lobster! We enjoyed it so much that we returned twice. The staff was incredibly friendly, and even the owner's young son gave us a charming handshake as we left! It was adorable! The menu here felt more established compared to other restaurants, which was refreshing since some places had disorganized selections. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious Sri Lankan cuisine at reasonable prices and generous portions. The food was excellent both visits; I especially suggest trying the lobster—it’s likely the best I've ever tasted. I even compared it to the lobster from the CN Tower in Toronto, and this restaurant came out on top! It's located at the entrance of the Anantara hotel, just a short walk from the Avani hotel next door, making it super convenient for guests to pop in for lunch or dinner. For anyone not staying at those hotels, it's definitely worth the trip by tuk-tuk or taxi for the fantastic food!

This fantastic restaurant is conveniently located near Anantara Kalutara. Yohan, the owner, is truly a treasure. I suggest you start by ordering one dish, gauge the portion size, and then go for your next choice. The King Prawns come highly recommended.

Every time we're in the area, we make it a point to visit this family-run restaurant. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. They serve the freshest seafood, which I believe is the best in Sri Lanka. During our recent visit, they even helped me celebrate my birthday with a party, complete with cake and balloons. It was truly wonderful. If you're in Kalutara, this restaurant is a must-visit!
