The host and his wife provided excellent care during our stay. We enjoyed dinner here every evening because the home-cooked Sri Lankan dishes are fantastic. The building and rooms are beautiful as well.

This place is one of the most pleasant, tidy, and inviting accommodations in Sri Lanka. The owners are incredibly kind, helpful, and excellent at preparing traditional Lankan dishes. The rooms are stunning, well-kept, and feature lovely balconies. You’ll find good WiFi, hot water, and air conditioning available. It’s actually a quicker trip from the airport than heading into Colombo itself. There’s a supermarket and plenty of restaurants close by, and bus #177 can take you to central Colombo for just 86 rupees. I truly enjoyed my time here!

Sampath was an exceptional host! He was warm, friendly, and prepared the most scrumptious vegetarian dinners. The room was charming, and the location was pleasant. I would strongly endorse Sampath’s place to anyone seeking meaningful connections, a lovely atmosphere, and fantastic food!

Colombo Eco Lodge was the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka! My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Sampath is a fantastic host who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. The lodge is immaculate, inviting, and equipped with everything you might need. The food is tasty, and I appreciated having tea and coffee available, both in our room and freshly served. The beds were incredibly comfortable, providing us with one of our best nights' sleep in Sri Lanka! Although the neighborhood is a bit away from the city center, it's easily accessible by direct bus, which also contributes to a quieter sleeping environment.

We made a last-minute reservation and couldn't be happier! The place is wonderful, spotless, and located in a peaceful area. It's adorned with flowers, adding to its enchanting vibe. Our host was incredible—very kind, helpful, and amusing. It's about 14 kilometers to the center of Colombo, which takes around 25 to 30 minutes by tuk-tuk, and it's quite affordable. I highly recommend it; we will definitely book this place again on our next trip to Sri Lanka!

I had a fantastic week at Colombo Eco Lodge! The accommodations were spotless, located in a serene area with a lovely garden filled with plants. Getting to Colombo was fairly straightforward, taking about 40 minutes to an hour, with local buses running every 5-10 minutes. It provided a tranquil retreat from the busy city life. During my stay, I worked remotely and found the common area to be inviting. The host was very accommodating regarding my needs. The Wi-Fi was decent but had some fluctuations; however, my Mobitel sim worked well with good coverage (~20MBPS). A highlight of my visit was definitely the host, Sampath, who is truly skilled in tourism! He was friendly, attentive to our needs, and flexible, making sure we had the best experience possible. An added bonus was that he and his wife are excellent cooks, eager to share insights about Sri Lankan cuisine and its wonderful health benefits. I would gladly come back here anytime. If you're considering this place, go ahead and book it—you won't regret it! ☺️

We spent two nights at Colombo Eco Lodge and can wholeheartedly recommend it. Our experience was truly delightful. The rooms are stunning and very well thought out. The host designed everything himself, and you can genuinely feel the love and attention to detail in every aspect. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cleanliness was remarkable. Our room, the bathroom, and all communal areas were spotless—something we greatly appreciated. The host was always on hand and responded quickly to our inquiries. He assisted us with everything we needed, making our stay very easy and enjoyable. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the lodge, and the food was incredibly tasty. He was kind enough to accommodate our preferences and prepared traditional Sri Lankan dishes, which enhanced the experience even further. There’s also a fantastic rooftop terrace where you can practice yoga in the morning or simply take in the beautiful views over Colombo. Given all that you receive, the price is exceptionally reasonable. Our room featured air conditioning, a lovely balcony, and all the communal spaces in the lodge are also beautifully designed. The host and his family are incredibly warm and welcoming. Staying here felt like a genuinely authentic and lovely local experience for us. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo. Warm regards, Anita and Selina. We hope to see you again someday.
