I am profoundly disappointed with the experience my family had at Panadura Base Hospital. Some of the minor staff and nurses were very rude, showing a disturbing lack of compassion and professionalism. They failed to provide proper care for the patients, and their demeanor only intensified an already stressful situation. My father’s health worsened after his admission, and it was devastating to witness the careless treatment he received, which ultimately contributed to his death. Even the cannula was improperly inserted, resulting in unnecessary pain and discomfort for him. Hospitals should embody care and empathy, but our experience was far from that. I genuinely hope the management takes these issues to heart and works on improving staff behavior and patient care standards for the sake of others relying on this facility.

I recently had a wonderful experience at the Children's Ward of Panadura Base Hospital. My son was admitted, and I was truly impressed by the care and attention from the hospital staff. What really stood out was the kindness and empathy shown by the staff. They were consistently friendly and attentive to my son's needs, and their positive attitude and warm demeanor helped both of us feel at ease.

The doctors and nurses in ward no 6 (eye/ent/omf) are incredibly compassionate, and the facilities available for patients in that ward are well-equipped. I was truly impressed by the quality of care and attention that the hospital staff provided.

I recently spent three days in Ward No. 1 (Surgical Unit) at Panadura Base Hospital for surgery. I have to say, the service there is outstanding. Even with limited resources and staff, the doctors and nurses deliver top-notch care to every patient. I want to highlight two young female doctors I saw in the ward who worked tirelessly for 13 to 14 hours straight. Their commitment to their patients and profession is genuinely inspiring ❤️. During my stay, I noticed that many patients were admitted due to their own negligence or accidents related to alcohol and drugs. Yet, the staff remains dedicated even in these tough situations. I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ajith Ranasinghe, who oversees the ward, along with Dr. Dinesh and Dr. Niroshan for their compassionate and professional care.

The inpatient care and facilities at Panadura Base Hospital are impressive, and I genuinely value the service offered in the wards. 🏥✨ On the other hand, the daily OPD services and the process for obtaining Medical Certificates and Reports could use considerable improvement. Dear Doctors, Nurses, and Hospital Staff, We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for my father during his emergency on the 12th at around 3:30 AM when he experienced a severe heart attack. A special mention goes to Dr. Sandali (I hope I remembered the name correctly) for the prompt actions, care, and support provided during such a critical time. That day was one of the most terrifying and challenging experiences for our family, and we are incredibly thankful for the commitment, compassion, and professionalism displayed by everyone involved. We also wish to recognize the staff of the Special Care Unit at Ward 8 for their excellent care of my father after the incident. The ongoing support, care, and attention they provided were invaluable to our family during this tough period. My younger brother was hospitalized for dengue and spent 5 days there as his condition became critical. Fortunately, he recovered thanks to the very friendly and professional staff, including doctors and nurses, who monitored patients around the clock and provided necessary attention and medications. I also want to highlight that the hospital wards (WARD NO:09) were very clean, including the restrooms, and were equipped with the latest monitoring technology. I highly recommend this hospital.
