    Frustrating customer service experience

The customer service here leaves much to be desired. When we tried to schedule an appointment with the doctor to discuss our issue, the receptionist was unhelpful and simply told us to come in without proper guidance. Their tone was quite rude, and they insisted on timely payment without any flexibility. It's clear that the administration needs to keep a closer watch on both the telephone operators and the receptionists. They treat patients as if they are a nuisance rather than individuals seeking care. I would honestly prefer a government hospital over this private one, and I recommend Pioneer Hospital instead.

    Unprofessional Receptionist Experience

I encountered a frustrating situation with the receptionist at the hospital. Her behavior was unprofessional and unhelpful, lacking even basic courtesy. It was particularly disappointing to handle someone so dismissive in a healthcare environment, where patience and effective communication are crucial. This area definitely requires significant improvement.

    Long Wait Times for Doctors

The hospital itself is decent, but the doctors don't stick to their schedules. Even with an appointment, you can expect to wait a long time to see the doctor. It seems the staff assigns the same time slots to multiple patients, leading to long delays. This is especially frustrating for those who are unwell. Many of us, including myself, had to wait a significant amount of time before finally consulting the doctor. There were small children crying in the waiting area, adding to the discomfort as everyone waited for their turn.

    Poor customer service experience

Avoid this place. If you don’t speak Tamil, they won’t engage with you and will hang up quickly. They don’t understand Sinhala or English either, and they don’t even attempt to help. If this reaches a responsible person at the hospital, you need to improve your customer service, or your hospital will face serious decline.

Long Wait Times and Lack of Communication

I had a frustrating experience with the waiting time, and I won't mention any specific doctor since this seems to be a widespread issue across all the doctors and hospitals. If a doctor is running late, it would be helpful to inform patients, especially since some of them travel long distances and may be vulnerable to long waits. The medical profession is about providing service. If there's any sense of humanity, please consider changing your processes or improving how you manage patient arrivals and doctor schedules. All hospital staff should be held accountable for this situation.

    Poor Service and Unprofessional Staff

The performance of the staff and receptionist was extremely disappointing. The hospital is staffed with unprofessional and unhelpful individuals. While not all the staff were careless, some were quite helpful. However, overall, it's not worth the money spent. When we pay, we shouldn't have to endure long wait times because the receptionist was too caught up in their own tasks. Significant improvements are needed in management.

    Frustratingly Long Wait Times

I had a very disappointing experience with the waiting time, encountering delays three times. I won't mention the doctor's name, but if a doctor is running late, it's important to inform patients. Some individuals have traveled quite a distance to reach your hospital, and many are at risk of waiting for excessively long periods. The healthcare profession is about serving others. If there's any sense of humanity, please reconsider your processes or work on improving the wait times for both patients and doctors. I can't recommend this hospital to anyone going forward. This has been the worst experience I've ever had.😞

Excellent care but poor reception service

This hospital provides excellent care, with nurses and nursing assistants who are both skilled and responsible. However, the service at the booking counter, or reception, leaves much to be desired due to carelessness. Overall, while the nursing staff delivers good service, the reception area needs improvement.

    Disappointing Hospital Experience

I recently had a very disappointing experience at JV Hospital. After spending around LKR 340,000 for treatment, I found the quality of both the facilities and service to be far from what I had anticipated. The AC room was priced at about LKR 10,000 per day, but its condition was lacking and didn’t justify the expense. The AC unit was quite old and even leaked water. Overall, many of the facilities and equipment seemed outdated and not well maintained. The nursing staff was also underwhelming. Some staff members were rude and unprofessional, and I experienced a lack of proper communication and timely responses when I requested help. I was particularly worried about extra charges on the final bill. When I asked for an explanation regarding these charges, I didn't get a satisfactory answer, and my concerns were treated dismissively. Given the amount patients are required to pay, I feel the hospital ought to offer much better facilities, staff service, transparency in billing, and overall patient care. I'm sharing this review from my personal experience to help prospective patients make an informed choice about this hospital.
