Lovely stay in Badulla

This hotel truly surpassed our expectations. We only spent one night in Badulla and had low expectations, especially given the affordable price. Nilgira turned out to be a genuine villa. Our room was fantastic, impeccably clean, and had a terrace with a view of the garden. The cottage's surroundings were delightful—lush, green, and tranquil. The owners were extremely kind and accommodating. Plus, it's conveniently located near the train station. I highly recommend it.

Lovely villa with welcoming owners

I had a great experience at the villa. The owners really stood out, greeting us with warmth and showing incredible kindness. They were also very helpful and spoke fluent English. Each morning, they treated us to coffee and fresh mango. The rooms are modern, tidy, and well-equipped, all at a reasonable price. The environment is lush and inviting. Plus, the house is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the Badulla train station. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Tranquil Stay with Delicious Breakfast

This place is a peaceful retreat located just a short walk from the station and city center. You enter through a lovely, colorful garden that leads to tidy rooms with a modern yet cozy interior. Everything is very clean, and the sheets and towels are fresh. It's clear that the owner, who is an engineer, has dedicated a lot of time and effort to maintain the property. The air conditioning functions well, but thanks to the building's design, it stays pleasantly cool. We actually didn’t need to use the air conditioning at night. The bed is quite comfortable, featuring a good mattress. The bathroom is also updated, boasting a nice walk-in rain shower with ample hot water. From the balcony or terrace, you can enjoy views of the garden, which has various fruit trees, and if you're lucky, you might spot the resident grey hornbill that sometimes visits the balconies. Both the host and hostess were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend their Sri Lankan breakfast; it included the best dahl curry I had throughout the entire trip.

Charming Guest House Near Train Station

This newly established guest house is ideal for anyone traveling to Badulla by train, being just a short five-minute walk from the station. Despite its central location, it remains surprisingly quiet. A lovely family runs the guest house and greeted us with refreshing drinks and fruits, making us feel very welcome. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, even arranging a tasty dinner for us on short notice, along with breakfast. The owner personally designed the house, paying careful attention to detail. Our room was elegantly styled and equipped with all the comforts we needed. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

I recently spent a night with my family at "Nilgira Villa - By Lilys" in Badulla, and it was truly a stunning location, surrounded by the refreshing atmosphere of "Dunhinda Falls," lush greenery, and picturesque mountain slopes. A standout feature is its proximity to the Badulla railway station, making it convenient for train travelers. The staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, and we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Our modern, comfortable rooms added to our overall satisfaction.
