The staff here are fine, but the appointment process is awful. I waited two weeks for a doctor’s prescription that never came, so I went in to see the doctor who is supposed to be there every day. I arrived at 2:30 for my scheduled appointment, but the doctor didn’t show up until after 3:50, and I was still left waiting. No one seemed concerned about the delay, so if you value punctuality, this isn’t the right place for you.

My experience at Samarasinghe Opticals was quite disappointing. The customer service left much to be desired, as the staff treated me in a disrespectful and unprofessional way, making the whole situation frustrating. I repeatedly asked for a proper invoice and my doctor's prescription, but neither was provided, which I find unacceptable. Additionally, I had to make several follow-up calls just to get any updates regarding my spectacles. All in all, I'm very unhappy with the service I received and can't recommend this place to anyone.

I had an extremely disappointing experience. I bought two pairs of spectacles. Before I got the transparent ones, the staff assured me there would be no discoloration, and if there was, they would take responsibility for changing the frame. Yet, after just 2-3 months, both frames started to change color. When I returned to the optical shop today to address this, they argued that they never made such a promise and suggested that my makeup was the cause. I had repeatedly asked them before the purchase if there would be any color change while wearing them, and they assured me there wouldn't be any—plus, they would take responsibility if there was. Additionally, their customer service is lacking; the staff spoke to me quite disrespectfully. I've been wearing spectacles since I was 7, and after 25 years, this is by far the worst experience I've encountered.

I had one of the worst experiences with customer service here. Initially, everything was fine up until I received my prescription. However, after that, the service completely fell apart. There was an issue with the spectacle lens, and they took days to provide any real updates. When I finally went to pick it up, they made me wait for a long time only to casually inform me that the lens was damaged and asked me to return in two days. The next time, I called ahead to check if it was ready, and they confirmed it was. But when I arrived, they had the audacity to tell me to run other errands and come back in an hour! I lost my patience and expressed my frustration before I finally got my spectacles. The five girls at the counter need proper training or should be replaced, as they clearly lack the skills to communicate or handle customers professionally. If you care about your time and peace of mind, steer clear of this place.
